According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Black Sea Fleet has fired warning shots at a British Naval destroyer – citing an incursion into their territory.
However, the UK Ministry of Defense claims they weren’t warning shots, and that the Russian fleet was simply conducting a routine exercise in the region.
The UK vessel reportedly crossed into Russian territorial waters at 11:52am local time, at the northwestern part of the Black Sea near Cape Fiolent.
Russian authorities claim warning shots were fired just after midday, but there was no response from the British vessel.
Furthermore, at around 12:15am, Russian aircraft performed precautionary bombings along the British vessels’ course.
British officials dispute this claim, and maintain that their fleet received prior warning of a gunnery exercise being undertaken.
‘No shots were directed at HMS Defender and we do not recognise the claim that bombs were dropped in her path,’ the MoD’s press office said.
The UK ship has since left Russian territorial waters.

@antiterror13 Sir I have to give him some honor being a former President of this republic, Rest In Peace. But Respect is earned not given, he is one of the worst President we have together with Joseph Estrada. And I sympathized with him though being force to run by the oligarch which he is a part of, riding on his father and mother name to win the Presidency that is how the elite used its influenced and decide which politician to support. His strong point is that he's not corrupt being a part of the oligarchy but easily manipulated. He had poor judgment of men appointing and surround himself with inept and corrupt people mostly gun enthusiast, classmates and people recommended by his corporate donor and benefactor, in short HE IS NOT FIT FOR THE JOB. His time in office coincide with the explosion of drugs usage among the population, we had police generals , his Justice Secretary and many of his cabinet members engage in the drug trade, while others were busy selling public assets for a huge commission, Its outright corruption all around. We are on the path of becoming a Narco State with Peace and Order breakdown happening in the major cities across the country.

Sir his anti China stand is not his owned but dictated by the Americans, he live in exiled in Boston with his family during the Marcos Regime and he considered it as his most memorable moment, so his loyalty is bias toward the US and therefore will do anything to please his master, SAF 44 or the MAMASAPANO Massacre is one of them, sacrificing our well train commandos to arrest one of America most wanted terrorist inside a rebel held territory which at that time we're having a peace negotiation. Yes. Thanks. I saw this "report" on BBC 2 news night. Here in the U.K. what a joke. Let's see, the U.K. goes out of its way travelled half a way round the world to an area that is other people's sovereignty (Russian/Ukraine). It basically had no business being there. (Spare me the BS about freedom of navigation). It is there to provoke. Pure and simple.

It wouldn't even be there if it wasn't someone else behind it. You can bet your bottom dollar if it didn't had the backing of U.S. the U.K. wouldn't even dare get as far as the Meds.

The U.K. still thinks its a major power in tge world. One day the U.K. will get a proper hiding.

It's not exercise. It's pure provocation disguised as "freedom of navigation". They will be doing the same in a few weeks time in South China Sea.

This is the third time America is banning Chinese solar. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Chinese solar is already basically banned in the United States because of tariffs.

Obama set tariffs on Chinese solar and banned it. Trump set tariffs on Chinese solar and banned it. Now Biden is setting an export ban.

None of this had any impact on China's solar industry. The only thing an American ban would do is further increase American inflation.

What an absolute embarrassment.

The British thought they would do some flexing to score some cheap points to skirt Russian waters off Crimea and had a journalist and film crew onboard to document it for propaganda purposes.

The Russians instead went further than the British expected and fired warning shots so now the British are employing Jai Hind levels of mental gymnastics to claim it was routine Russian exercises.

I will take Russia’s word over Britain’s any day of the week on what Russian warplanes might or might not have been doing in Russian airspace and waters.

Even the British journalist onboard reported hearing shots, and that the crew of the warship put in protective hoods in anticipation of exchange of live fire even.

So even by the Brits own first hand eyewitness account, the Russians did open fire, and the British warship crew were seriously alarmed by it. That’s pretty much the definition of fucking warning shots.

If the British continues to lie and spin, the Russians have an easy trump card to play, just tell the British they will make sure their shots land a lot closer if they insist on getting wet from the spray of rounds landing all around them to acknowledge it as warning shots.

The PLAN should be taking notes in case they try to pull similar BS when their carrier makes it’s much hyped Asia trip.

First, what can be seen is Defender, a British warship with an oddly shaped radar tower, in the distance, with another vessel trailing it. Further, into the video, crosshairs are shown, targeting the destroyer, with several fighter jets buzzing by the vessel.

Following HMS Defender's incident in what Russia calls territorial waters near Crimea, Moscow has ordered the British ambassador to Russia to the Foreign Ministry's office.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the "rude British provocation that defies international law," and confirmed the ambassador was being summoned.

BBC's defense correspondent, Jonathan Beale, was conveniently on the HMS Defender when more than "20 aircraft in the skies" swarmed the warship after it allegedly crossed into Russian territorial waters near Crimea.

The added spice is that there was a US intelligence gathering aircraft in the area, possibly to gauge the nature of the Russian response to the UK's violation of the Russian territorial waters.
