In 2018 EDF had 673 events, 78 of those class 1, 595 of those class 0. So France average somewhere between 1-2 class 0 events per day.

These are the same guys accusing China of debt trapping developing countries.

Reports of radiation leakage at Nuclear Plant in Guangdong. Plant is part operated by the French. French has shared data and their concern with the US. National Security Council is assessing the situation.

Any news on this? Has this been confirmed.

This sentence is very misleading. All members within IAEA are obliged to share information regarding the operation of their civilian power plants. It is not France sharing data of an incident of a Chinese nuclear plant with US. It is the plant operator reporting to IAEA which the US has access to by being a member of IAEA.

Western media such as CNN has twisted the story to be some sort of US investigating China. In fact, France did not "betray", nor does US has any privilege.

Framatome responded to CNN on Friday with this:
Framatome acknowledged the company "is supporting resolution of a performance issue with the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant in Guangdong Province, China."
"According to the data available, the plant is operating within the safety parameters. Our team is working with relevant experts to assess the situation and propose solutions to address any potential issue."

This nuclear power plant is jointly owned and constructed by Chinese and French companies and the French company is mostly owned by the French government, and that leads to a question: why didnt the French company report this to the French government?

The French company did NOT report to US government either. It is only obliged to answer to Chinese government and the IAEA, not France not USA.

It is CNN trying to twist the fact to be some sort of "US investigating China, US ruling the world". Just like the US spy agency to investigate Covid-19 origin. A plain wet dream to pretend to be relevant.

Again French operators within the Plant is warning of imminent Radiological Threat. Whatever that means.

Why did the French first notify the US, which held National Security Council meetings over it.

And why are the French co-operating a nuclear power plant in China

The French did not notify the US government first. CNN made it sounds like so.

French company co-operating a nuclear plant in China is the same as Chinese company (jointly with France) would be operating the proposed British nuclear power plant, or Japanese company Toshiba operating the now cancelled British nuclear plant.

Piece of advice, put a ton of salt in whatever CNN, BBC etc. report on China. They are proven liars on galactic scale.
