Why? It's no good you keep posting with questions. It's like you are baiting us. Why don't you let us know your opinon for change.

Why do you think China might dial back the sanctions?
Yep. Can you imagine the lost "face" if China dropped its sanctions to pass a mostly EU beneficial deal lol

If China capitulates against the EUpoors then Xi better take the phone, call Biden and announce that China has surrendered

No way China will drop its sanctions. Most likely EU and China will work it out and save "face" to pass the deal. And lets just say, that with the EU's failing economic growth and failing recovery, it will have huge trouble and huge pressure to access the high-growth Chinese economy

Make.no.mistake, CAI was a bone that Xi threw to the EU mostly because Merkel insisted on it (another reason why Merkel is EU's smartest leader..)

Exactly. AFAIK the deal is supposed to be ratified by the EU when France takes the EU Council presidency, from 1 January 2022 to 30 June 2022.

That was the plan from the start. Merkel would finish the negotiations and Macaroon would have ratified the deal during France's presidency. IF the deal is not passed during France's presidency then thats when we will know that the CAI is in actual trouble and not the usual useless EU Parliament's theatrics

Exactly, everyone here and their dogs knows the CAI deal benefits EU far, far more than China. If anyone knows the economics dynamics of EU/Chinawould know EU have substantial business in interest in China. Take Germany car markers. They sell more cars in China than in Germany.

But my main point is to @escobar I noticed he constantly comes out with this slightly negative one liner questions. It's almost like trolling. Just stop hiding behind this, and come out and tell us what you really think!

I agree. He mostly posts some tweets showing some kind of Western action against China, then he posts some 1 line text where he is demanding that China changes and not the West.

And then the rest of this forum must spend a couple of pages refuting his opinion that "China must change to please the West".

I admit that this is all a bit tiring but at least he post real news and it is good to have a different opinion here (for whatever his reasons...) so we dont become an echo chamber

His title of "Brigadier" shows that the mods might agree with this strategy

For this example, why should China drop its sanctions when the EU started this sanctions game. Does he think that the EU is so privileged that it can sanction others but others cant sanction it?

And what would the rest of the world think if China is so weak that after a small setback it surrenders? Not a good signal to send when you are in strategic competition with the US, which is aiming for China's throat...
