China, France, Germany summit signals Biden's China containment strategy has already been cast adrift
Simply put, both Xi and Merkel have since realized that the expanding EU-China relationship has become an eyesore for the Biden administration and a firewall needs to be put around the partnership to sequester it from the evil eye.
Merkel has once again stepped in to ward off Washington’s predatory attempts to undermine EU-China relations. Exactly nine days later, this German thrust conceivably fructified as the French-German-Chinese summit.
Xinhua reported Merkel as saying that Europe is willing “to strengthen policy communication and alignment” with China, while taking note that China’s economy realized a recovery growth first, which is “good news for the world.
Merkel also noted that the EU-China investment agreement will take effect at an early date.
TLDR: Follow the Euros..

Singapore is a minuscule city state, a small dot in this planet -- with land area of 728.3 sq. km with less than 6 million people -- encircled by big neighbours with different cultures and religions, the Islamic countries.

Life is very competitive there, there is a stereotype that Singaporeans are "kiasu" (in office or working environment) -- (of a person) having a grasping or selfish attitude arising from a fear of missing out on something. Being tiny that country must strive hard to come out better than its neighbours, to stay prosperous otherwise it has no chance -- it's quite limited, has no resources other than human resources and location, needs to buy everything and imports all its needs, cannot even grow its own food. Understanding this situation, one may have better perspective, or even empathy -- it may relate much to one's security and psychological complex. As the world's dynamics is keeping on changing, and has been changing very much, Singaporeans may wish to update their world views to grasp the world more accurately. I have no strong pros and cons, don't have any strong perceptions, just trying to understand its overall situation as a tiny entity encircled by way bigger entities -- however weak those neighbours are, in one's perception, but size does matter -- so best for SIN to be nice to everyone, leans to the current Empire for protection but should not go extreme or take side too far. For the folks there, they will learn their ways and standing, slow or fast.
That is true people are quick to judge without knowing the genesis of the country. Ideally there should be no country Singapore it should be part of Malaysia which she is for centuries. But race politic make it impossible and as you said with no hinterland and small she has to depend on trade for survival and open for investment from western countries because they control the world economy in 60's. China was mired in cultural revolution and has nothing to offer.

Surrounded by not so friendly neighbor and with no army to speak other than 1 battalion of Malay soldier she need to built army fast but it take time. And by allowing US to open logistic center and offer ship repair and berthing right she bought security. But by opening the country you get fly and corrosive western influence. And with time corrupt the country youth. the western slant has a life of its own and people does not realize this

But as you said time change and need new perspective and not become a slave! like this guy. I mean most people are not like him but he is white wannabee

Singapore knows what is happening right now.

Thats why you often see small states being more acceptable of changing power dynamics between superpowers. Because, as you mentioned, their startegic vulnerabilities are so big, once another Great Power surfaces, it has to carry favour because if it miscalculates and it becomes its enemy it is very easy to get destroyed.

This is why Singapore is extremely careful on being seen as a steadfast US ally. The moment it does so, in a couple decades it might not even exist anymore if China aids its enemies or exploit some of Singapore's countless strategic vulnerabilities (mostly due to its small size).

As typical of this kind of article, it's always that the other side "escalated" without mentioning your provocations. And it's full of meaningless and belligerent rhetoric:

Ukraine and Taiwan, vibrant independence? I thought the usual cliche about Taiwan is "vibrant democracy." I suppose it's too stretched to call Ukraine that way, even for the author. He just ran out of words. And Taiwan is not a country, off course not - not even the US recognizes it.

Wanwan democracy...real vibrant and exciting....

I think it's just Turks. I've had a blast making friends with Eastern Europeans because they were easygoing and non judgemental hence very fun to be with. But Turks, yeah they are a very culturally confident people. Overconfident perhaps.

When I was in university for one semester I regularly sat near a Turkish girl who was extremely confident and sassy. Her eyes communicated confidence in her personality and sexuality.

@azuazu @crash8pilot Why are Singaporeans and Hong Kongers so racist against Bangladeshis and Filipinos? Maybe Filipinos are viewed as annoying, but Bangladeshis are seriously friendly and nice people. In HK, south Asians are treated like scum. In Spore, you have ads like Looking for tenants: No Indians.
Haahahahahaahah. Turkish men complain about Turkish women all the time.

I suspect that a lot of Hong Kongers and Singaporeans (especially the ones who really emphasize any sort of Anglo heritage) desperately want to be viewed as honorary whites, but unfortunately for them, Bengals (and most other South Asians) are actually part of the Indo-European, and the former isn't.

Thats the same people who in the US when they get mistaken as Chinese and get attacked they complain "But we are not Chinese!! We are from Japan/S.Korea/Vietnam etc"

The West sees all them as Chinese though haha

Can someone explain why they so often fight each other?

Its like every 1-2 months they are in the news for violence. don't they they always say that they are so superior? So why all this infighting.

It's the result of various factions that are unable to make compromises. IMO, it's one of the most important requirement when implementing liberal democracy, followed by having an active and informed citizenry. Unfortunately, the World have become so polarized that even in the US the very notion of compromise is looked down upon. I find it funny and sad that in the zeal of these various factions in pursuing their agenda, they've actually killed democracy and not realize it. Should we live past this period of human civilization, historians are going to have so much fun analyzing this.

Ps. Guys, I don't want to be a killjoy here, but I think we better create a thread for beautiful women around the world, or we will face some jail time from the mods. I don't think they are in a good mood.
Even though I am new here, I would strongly be against that.

This is really one of the few forums on the internet on these topics that we actually see girls or women participating.

Anti-women threads, such as threads that only sexualize the female, will drive all the females out.

I always give the women here (those who I think are one) they always get a like button from me to encourage their participation.

We should not cut this forum off to the Chinese woman.

If we swear a lot, then that does not matter, because Chinese women don't swear, only Chinese men swear, so that does not really bother them.

To have a thread of lust, the Chinese woman has no intention of being an object of lust to the masses, and they will leave and not participate anymore.
