Thats another issue altogether (a serious one).

Xi has said he wants a "law-based government" and there has been made a not of progress towards this goal. So new institutions must be set up, new enforcable rules, more transparency, more public involvement to setting laws (need legitimacy, can be by requesting public opinions, NGOs etc)

So progress has been made but lot more needs to be done. Personally I dont think anything "bad" would happen if Xi had to step down suddenly. But I think by 2030-2035 the institutions and enforcable laws would be far more powerful to ensure an orderly transition of power than now
I was interacting with a bunch of Chinese Christians and they didn't like Xi. They said he placed too many restrictions on Christianity in China. But they kept talking about how bad and pernicious Islam's influence is, in ME as well as China. I'm like, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Since the authorities had to crack down on Islamic terror activity, why should Christianity be allowed to grow into a powerful lobby? What gives Christians Christian privilege. LOL.

Gotta be some irony in talking about how dangerous religions like Islam and Hinduism (karma and casteism), but still want Christianity to be the state religion of China. Jeez.

But I get why they don't like Xi. Can't be helped. You can't allow powerful interest groups like oligarchs and Christians to take over the administration. Can't please everyone, especially those hell bent on protecting their selfish lobby.

Now that they want to convert me, I'm going to have to break it to them then I, uh, well I'll call myself Jewish temporarily.

China should stay out of the religion business. It is extremely dangerous and allowing religion is the first step away from critical thinking.

People need spirituality but this does not necessarily translates to religion.

All these religions must be eliminated, and i am sure that the CPC also agrees with this. It will take time, but it is on the pipeline to happen after more serious matters have been dealt with

With how entitled these people are in their expectations that they could force Christianity onto the Chinese people, it is expected that this would happen.

I just straight up tell missionaries that I believe in Marxism–Leninism and I think religion is the opiate of the masses

Well considering that they're rent-paying tenants, I'm their landlord, and their ancestors were landlords displaced by Mao.

Maybe @ansy1968 will miss me if I get summarily executed by my tenants.

That’s the second time I have seen Israel mentioned negatively in recent days. This is odd as China and Israel have always enjoyed pretty warm relations, with Israel giving China a lot of technical help especially in military fields.

Israel have always seemed to hedge their bets in trying to maintain good relationships with both the US and China, and has generally managed that.

If they were doing that in the past, and risking American ire to do so, it doesn’t make a great deal of sense for them to go all in with America now, when in both absolute and comparative terms, Chinese power is far stronger on pretty much all fronts.

Don’t tell me an embassy move and fake holocaust comparisons was all it took.
This video just came out today on this very same topic. Zheng Ruolin's analysis is that Israel and Jewish diaspora is attempting a reply of their cold war tactic of promoting conflict between the Islamic world and Soviet Union/China (see Chechen Wars). This is in line with the long term interest of Israel as it reduces pressure on them in the Middle East. This long term goal is concurrent with the more short term goal of putting obstacles in the way of China's rise (which the Israelis might not care very much but makes the position a good sell to western countries).

What happen after Xi
@escobar me think he will relinquish his Presidential post while retaining the Chairmanship of the Party, therefore guiding his successor until he can manage the rein of leadership, that will be critical cause it will happen in 2025 a crucial year for China. It will be the year that China and the US will reach certain parity especially in the tech sector.
