JFC, it is 2021 and this was still allowed?..

You see? Thats why I say China needs another 10 yrs at least to get international respect.

Who is gonna respect China when it allowed for so long an obviously criminal and disgusting behaviour to happen? Who knows what other things are allowed that the rest of the civilised world has criminalized?

Good first step, however more needs to be done, especially on enforcing the sexual harassment laws
What kind of the "international respect" that you meant here, repeatedly, ad nauseam? And from which countries? Or which bloc? The NATO bloc? The G-7 bloc? 5-EYES bloc? Or why does China really need such every "respect", and at what price???

C'mon, I know you should understand better this kind of "respect"... those few countries won't accept the Chinese rise unless the rise is so overwhelming that they cannot deny any more! Accordingly the "respects"...

But does it really matter??? For any thing that really matters, respects are earned by power, by might!

About the "sexual harassment", this is a very broad definition. If China is not being careful, and over codifying its law on "sexual harassment" it will go into the direction of the USA whereas it becomes toxic things in interactions and relationships in many parts of the society, at which some part of society may be tempted to weaponize the "sexual harassment" things for their own selfish agendas or litigation for financial gains or for destroying the reputation of the other side, or any other sinister purposes. If China is not careful in treading such matter, it will have negative side effect on its culture, values & traditions, and people to people relationships. What happens in the USA with all the "sexual harassment" things are really ugly, unhealthy! China must consider seriously how broad it wanna cover all such issues into its laws. Unofficial rules like the social sanctions and punishments can also direct the societal behaviours! And not every thing needs to be codified into laws. I won't take too much the SCMP article in this matter. My two cents.

If the Olympic extravaganza still continues over many decades to come... I wish China won't waste resources to host the games, summer moreover winter one, for the next 50 years. Let other cities hold the hot balls, I don't believe it's a beneficial event for the host country. Enough twice, better spend the money whereas it gives more benefits!

But I read most host cities are suffering financial burden in hosting the OG.

Correct. The Olympics has turned from a political theater into a political theater with a financial scam benefit. It's rare for host countries to make a profit. The point is forcing the host country to borrow money from creditors like the IMF where no profit is expected, resulting in a default on the loan. The creditor then can descend like vultures and pick the host nation apart.

I am no expert on the E.U. politics or with the British political scene. But based on a few readings of the situation from the usual western sources of publications (The Atlantic, BBC, The Diplomat, Foreign Policy, Foreign Affairs etc.) The E.U. is apparently hellbent on making it rather difficult and challenging for Britiain going forward as the polity wants to make an example of it's erstwhile member to ensure that other E.U. member state would not dare or even contemplate on leaving the Union.

As for the Britain, it's really up to the current political party in charge which is the conservative party led by Boris Johnson to actually come up with sensible economic plans, trade deals to ensure the country's economic viability and prosperity for it's own internal stability and cohesion among it's non-English citizens (Scotlan, Northern Ireland, Wales) penchant for separation or separatists tendencies. The covid-19 pandemic and the economic fallout it wrought to countries and in particular in Great Britain is actually opening up old wounds and issues (Scotland independence movement, Northern Ireland terrorism) for economic, and political reasons. If Britian fails to deliver in a meaningful way on these important factors then all bets are off. Nationalism and strong sense of national identity coupled with economic stagnation are factors that no singing of God save the Queen can actually save or stop.
I read elsewhere, possibly at RT.com, by some political savvy author, possibly British author some time ago that EU wanna use UK as an example for a nation that dares to leave the Union, set a high cost for it, to deter any future Exit! So economic relationship post-Brexit won't be anything smooth!!

That's why Britain is trying hard to expand its sickening economy beyond the EU, it seems Britain want to set its direction to the USA, India, and Asia, etc in general for economic opportunities. Just go out beyond Europe!

Hunter biden is a crack addict who loves having sex with prostitutes
There is actually a picture of him having threesome with hookers on twitter lol
But like almost every white privileged mother f..kers, they excuse their rotten behaviors on personal tragedies and with Hunter Biden's case it's even extra special because his care and love for his brother was to also fuck his widowed wife while being married. Extra holy

Where do you get this idea that party officials have "pretty shallow" understanding of geopolitics come from? Do you have any first hand knowledge or academic research/studies that support your assertion? I don't mean for my question to come off as an attack or inquisitive but am genuinely curious as to how you arrive with that conclusion. I mean, for pete sake, the record of the CPC as a whole can speak for itself; the lacking or use of the English language isn't a prerequisite to understanding the intricacies of geopolitics when in reality geopolitics is all about power. You make it sound like the party officials are made up of a bunch of country bumpkins and are morons.

The actions of the western powers whether it's the U.S. now or Britian back in their golden days are indistinguishable. They may use a different slogans but they all mean the same shit, which is to conquer China and control it by any and all means possible.
Do they even know what’s happening geopolitical between the US and China? Do they read the news or even have access to international news? They wake up one morning and are shocked to learn that their company is on the sanctioned list.

@windsclouds2030 and UK problem, she need to have both its feet in one basket. She can't maneuver, If she goes to US direction she has to forgo its Asia ambition and vice versa. The best way for her is to become US 51st state and it will be an easy transition.

There's no excuse for the atrocious track record of Chinese diplomacy and its media against these lies. One can simply compare 3-5 minute videos by the likes of Max Blumenthal and Ajit Singh of The Greyzone. They have next to no funding, no team, etc. Why are they so effective? They get to the point and they expose the hypocrisy, fake ngo Trojan Horses, fake news/propaganda, destroy the perceived credibility of Western "news", crimes and standard operating procedure of the Western imperialists.

Now, compare that to Chinese media like CGTN. It is long winded pointless rambling for close to 30 minutes. When I finish watching their shows, I feel like I wasted time. I learn next to nothing and most importantly, I don't even get the sense that the West is using terrorism or spreading lies against China. Chinese media/communication are awful.

I'll give specific examples of how utterly useless Chinese media is

Example 1
The Greyzone refers to Adrian Zenz as a right Christian homophobic fanatic.
Chinese media refers to Adrian Zenz as a researcher.
The Chinese have a chance to instantly annihilate his credibility but they act like his PR agent instead.

Example 2
The Greyzone refers to Western propaganda as propaganda, lies or, disinformation.
Chinese media refers to Western propaganda as misunderstandings or incorrect information.
Once again, Chinese media act like the PR agency for Western terrorists by using euphemisms to downplay Western criminality.

Example 3
The Greyzone refers to the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) as the CIA's arm to overthrow democracies.
The Chinese media refers to National Endowment for Democracy (NED) as an ngo.
I hope I don't need to repeat myself here.

Keep in mind, some people will write excuses about how it's about funding, global reach, etc. It's nonsense. CGTN has millions of followers/subscribers. That's enough. They have a giant budget. They should have an army of researchers and programmers who can organize its content.

I have only scratched the surface. If China wants to survive and defeat Western imperialists then these excuses need to stop. Secondly, they should learn how to perform the most basic media functions instead of acting like a pr agency for their enemies.

That must be why CGTN has 2.3 million subscribers while Greyzone has 137k and Max Blumenthal has less than 8k.

CGTN subscriber count has grown impressively over the past couple of years. Whatever you think of them, they must be doing something right.
