Isn't that all GDP growth just inflation?
Basically the US is just printing money to "grow" the economy. This is not structurally-sound growth and it is not based in fundamentals.

Its good that China at least is recognising the risk of this printing of dollars affecting China's economy

IMO, we can only determine the real growth and how a country dealt with covid after 2-3 years to see how sustainable their growth is. Because now there all sorts of distortions and low-based effects from last year in conjuction with the unprecedented increase in money supply.
growth is calculated at constant price.

weekly first time jobless claims at 770k, unusually high for a recovery.

10 year treasury yield hits 1.74%, it may hit 2% by April.

the liquidity overflow caused by the QE is the game changer.

The ECB is also not only all in in QE they are also accelerating purchases, this is becoming a world wide super bubble due to the FED and ECB QE

China should start constructing massive storage facilities and buy all the comodities it can find to spend its vast reserves dollars because soon, if not already, the dollars will lose value if invested carefully.

Like draghi said back then 'Whatever it takes' seems like Lagarde is saying the exact same thing.

Im sad and happy at the same time, with a bit of luck I can pay off slices of my mortgage by selling small bitcoin positions over the next few years and see my house price go to the moon.

Sad because a lot of people will in my generation(millennial) and later will never own a house and the older generations will see their pensions and savings buying power evaporate away.

Can't they just buy futures from GCC? Does it need to be pumped out and stored?

Paper certificates are only as good as the word of the issuer. Besides it wouldn't be the first time the US invaded or regime changed a country in the Middle East.

Yes, unless you have the physically goods on storage facilities under China's control nothing is certain. China must gobble up these comodities to hedge against dollar inflation as fast as possible.

US is hell bent on its way to inflation and they are going to make the rest of the world to pay for their failed economy management. Now every country is trying to find a way store their inflating dollars in such a way that it will withstand inflation

Does China have enough gasoline, commodities and food storage facilities? All these printing money will result in the bitcoin bubble. Maybe buying more gold and bitcoin is a way of hedging against the $US. Tesla will accept bitcoin soon, so buying some bitcoin now is prudent.

Bitcoin should be banned, it.consumes an obscene amount of energy to mine and it is now mined in a such a scale.that it is actively harming the fight against global warming.

If China doesn't have storage facilities, then it should build them ASAP, better to hold the commodities as a hedge against inflation. And who knows, if inflation never happens (lol), then China would be left with a strategic reserve. Win-Win for China
