Kishida and Ishiba are most likely.

From what I hear Ishiba would bring back the imperial Japanese military and go nuclear Japan.

Don’t worry, US will probably help choose and still own Japan
If they go imperial japan, the South Korea and most of Asia aren’t going to be very happy. Also, in the short run, they still have the coronavirus to deal with and if the USA dollar goes down, Japan isn’t going to be in a very good place.

Thats right japan is a country in terminal decline, its socio economic and demography is beyond salvation
The average salary for japanese workers is barely enough to support one person let alone a family
Also its young people is different from imperial japan times, not many young japanese people nowadays willing to die for their country like the old bushido samurai instead they have turned into herbivore men

Whoever it is, you can guarantee it will tow the US line. It is after all still a vassal state.
hi Gatekeeper,

Especially now that they want to be included as the sixth eye, they had throw the dice and join the containment against China. Now she faces a dilemma from two powerful country , aside from China, they will face a big bear in Russia. I thinks Abe miscalculated his bet and now Japan had become a front line state for any future conflict.

Considering that japan has never apologized for what happened in ww2, should japan start a fight with China and China retaliates in an overwhelming manner, I do t think they will garner much sympathy, heck not even South Korea would give much of a damn given the whole comfort women issues have never been truly addressed

I wonder who is going to want to invest in the USA in the long term, since not only there economy is in deep trouble but now they are trying to steal companies left and right and claim it as there own. Something tells me something is going to give in the near future
I was also thinking whether selling TikTok is ByteDance's right move.
It's not checkmate yet but feels like there aren't any more surprise moves from ByteDance.

HI emblem21,

Here's a question will you think SK will join The 6 eyes in containing China?
That I am not sure about, but I do know that as long as Japan remains unrepentant towards South Korea and other countries in regards to WW2, there is a weakness that is there that even if South Korea joins the 6 eyes, there will always be friction for one and the one thing I do notice is that these eyes groups all have economies that are dependent in someway towards China and all of them seem to believe that democracy is the only path forward and is trying there hardest to force there ideas on China without consideration or proof that it is somehow how going to lead to a better future which as you can see with the UK and USA, this isn't really the case when the majority of the people are in the lower and middle class gap. I also notice that most of the strength of these so called 5 eyes is the USA and USA alone. The USA in the next two months will experience horror like none other in regards to the economy being in the dumps, a pandemic that won't go away, the prospects of there being no jobs for a long while and since Trump is trying to decouple from China there will be even less jobs, 50+ million unemployed who are about to become homeless and therefore desperate for help that they will go on a rampage (if I was homeless with my family and I have access to a weapon, then the conclusion is obvious) and given Trump's lack of empathy and lack of foresight, this is going end poorly and none of there security forces (NSA, FBI, CIA) are even remotely capable in regards to helping the people nor have the heart to care. Should the USA really get screwed and then lose the reserve currency peg, none of the 5-6-7 eyes are going to be remotely capable of messing with China given that none of them have the capability of harm China in the long run (just threatening not the do business with them is scary enough to shut Scomo, Boris Johnson and bloody Trudeau up for a while). Heck, if Japan really does try to do a WW2, China pay them back a million fold since now they have the weapons and people fight back. Not to mention that the majority of Japan lack the same fighting spirit that they have had during WW2 and the side effect of the USA efforts to keep Japan down has Ironically made them weak cannon folder that has figuratively lost there balls, heck, all there leadership are quite old and completely out of touch with there own people who are literally worked to death due to there economy being in a world of hurt thanks to the USA screwing them over (hence I find it quite confusing as to why Japan likes being under the USA when most nations would be quite pissed off at this, maybe they are abjectly scared of China's wrath should China ever decide to take vengeance, even though China isn't known for going that far (especially in recent history when they could have sent the army down to HK to mess people up yet they never did).

Hi emblem21,

Great summary, but this is my view, SKorea will stay neutral if there is a conflict between the US and China, they are very patriotic, share a similar culture with China, so there is an affinity between the 2 countries. For such a small nation it is able to pursue an independent course of action ,which Japan cant able to do. The US due to WW2 had really put a leash on Japan, they will never forget the early defeat they had suffered especially from an ASIAN nation. I hope Japan the best, I like its people and its culture and share its dream of becoming a normal country again, after all we are all Asian.

Regarding Decoupling, China is not afraid from decoupling with the US, it is happening anyway, what it want is an orderly process to do so. That's why she is not retaliating, she is planning ahead for the eventuality. When you are planning for a major policy shift, you need to put your house in order first. The America decoupling strategy is flawed, it's emotion based without any concrete plan of action. As somebody on this forum had stated "dont interrupt your opponent when he/she is making a mistake"
