According to this post "东空9旅有两个大队已经换装歼20" - "Two brigades of the East Air 9 Brigade have been remodeled for the J-20" - which I would transcribe into "Two daduis within the ETC 9th Air Brigade have been reequipped with the J-20" ... this would mean 16 J-20s now within the 9th Brigade at Wuhu.

Or am i wrong?

Keep in mind that the brigades with J-20s mix them with J-16s and J-10Cs as well. 16 is probably the upper-end estimate.

Yes Sir, I would conservatively call the number of in-service J-20's at 18-to 20.

But this is valid only for the 176th Air Brigade... the 172nd has some JL-10 and the 9th has only J-20s assigned.

Probably higher than that if you include the J-20s from Dingxin.

Wiki says 28 J-20s in active service , but probably a bit obsolete as it was as at June 2018, perhaps 35-40 now ?

Wiki was sourcing from a Sina article which is not the most accurate source around.
