Re: »Ø¸´: List of territorial disputes with China's neighbors.

Is it true that China had territorial disputes with every single one of it's bordering country in the past or present plus additional maritime disputes with other nations near the surrounding waters too ...

Thats a loaded question, as the only continuous ancient culture to still exist, from the time where the concept of territorial disputes did not exist. China like every other country with a significant history have a shytload of territorial disputes.

Currently:
Russia - no
North Korea - no
Pakistan - no
South Korea - yes
India - yes
Japan - yes
Vietnam - yes
Philippians - yes

Don't forget the "Stans" as well. I believe that very recently border disputes with Kyrgyzstan was solved via a new treaty.

I think it was Tajikistan. And China received some press for ending up with very little compared to what they claimed.

With that timeframe, I think every single country in the world has been in some kind of dispute over their territory....

IIRC there is a whole section of land that was given to outer-mongolia by the government in the 50s or 60s for no apparent reason, and I definitely do not understand why.

There is also a case where Changbai mountains, particularly the 天池 which falls completely within our territory after WW2 but was later somehow given more than half to north korea. I do not understand this move as well.

I might make a post about this in the future.

By definition these are not disputed. Not counting Taiwan as a special case, China's only disputed borders are with India and Bhutan.
