Here's the list:

Note the lady I posted earlier with her masters degree stripped is second on that list.

Because this news is blowing up one of the top tier wumao troll artist posted this:
Hey, Japanese friends, you know what?
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is really generous, isn't it!
It's using the taxes diligently paid by Japanese taxpayers to "completely foot the bill" for supporting Chinese writers. And it's not just one or two people, you know?
A "genius girl writer" like Jiang Fangzhou gets to eat, live, and play all she wants in Tokyo for a whole year, and on top of that, she writes a book called *Tokyo Year* and sells it back in China. If you check the foundation's published report, it says dozens—no, nearly a hundred—Chinese intellectuals and media folks are "invited" in the exact same way.
Meanwhile, Japanese people are scrimping on their electricity bills to get by, and those taxes are turning into "friendship exchange funds" for Chinese cultural figures. What a fantastic "investment," right! They're shelling out money to let them write books that glorify Japan, sell them in China, and then pat themselves on the back as "bridges of Japan-China friendship."
To all you Japanese taxpayers, seriously, thanks for your hard work.
Feeding popular foreign writers with your own tax money—what a kindness. Truly the world's most generous country. I respect it from the bottom of my heart (lol).
Is this NTR?

Technically speaking academic oligarchy and taking foreign money for influence are two separate issues and both are getting a good look at right now, it's just in Jiang Fangzhou's case she has both issues simultaneously.

While universities are busying themselves looking through their own staff for dodgy credentials before the people report them up the chain, CCDI has been busy too, in news more related to this thread:

An ex-deputy chief of CPC Publicity Department and ex-party secretary of National Radio and Television Administration is under investigation for misconduct by CCDI. I'm sure people in this thread agree that these two departments haven't been pulling their weight.

have worsened, to the point where China is now seen more positively than the U.S. in most of 36 countries surveyed.

During the first two years of Trump’s second term, ratings of the U.S. president worsened significantly. While many people still lack confidence in Xi, positive views of him have become more widespread, and more overall now say they have confidence in Xi than in Trump.

People in 17 middle-income countries raise more concerns about the United States’ foreign policy than China’s. A median of 75% say that the U.S. interferes in the affairs of other countries a great deal or a fair amount, while 45% say the same of China. In nearly every country surveyed, more people see the U.S. as an interferer than China. Similarly, people in many of these middle-income countries see China as a more reliable partner than the U.S. and are more likely to say China contributes to peace and stability around the world.

This will flip again after trump. Especially in the western stooge countries.

China will not have lasting favoribility in western stooge countries until US is completely defeat and degraded in a war.
I’m not sure there is an after Trump with how unhinged and retarded his policies have been. Let’s wait and see if the pedos can survive the energy crunch first.

Does the China favorability responses from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore seem a bit too high?
Honestly some members have too much of a siege mentality when it comes to China. There will still be haters, but everything China related in SEA in recent years from pop culture like Donghua and Gacha Games, brands like Mixue, BYD, and Xiaomi, economic aid and as of late providing petrol to the region to offset the Iran War shocks has warranted the positive jump in opinion. There's no need to knee jerk say that everybody in the world is influenced by CIA propaganda, plus this is a soft power thread and isn't one of China's core objectives to counteract CIA propaganda through soft power?
Also 50-51% from Italy and Argentina?? Huh?
Argentina is still technically a global south country despite being whiter than most of Latin America and Italy I guess hasn't always shared opinions with the rest of Western Europe when it comes to foreign policy.
OTOH, I'm very disappointed with the South Koreans.
While of course overall still negative, seeing some opinions Koreans have of Chinese online I was expecting it to be near Japan levels. But I guess even if Koreans as a whole aren't fond of China, some things like social media, more Koreans are starting to use rednote nowadays, and tourism to China especially Shanghai have somewhat softened attitudes.

I wonder how much the improvement in China's favorability score is to do with being anti-Trump and pro-Palestine.
Doesn't surprise me at all. South Koreans and Japanese are the most brainwashed; it's like America spent all their efforts on brainwashing there just to prevent the Asian connection from causing them to drift to China. I knew this when European polls said that China did better than the US during COVID but S Korea and Japan actually said the US did better... the country where half the people think COVID is not a real virus but a fear tactic to implant mind control chips into people through fake vaccines, an idea that stemmed from the POTUS's rejection of CDC safety guidelines. China, on the other hand, actually eradicated COVID in months until it was re-introduced by the outside. All the Anglo countries have more based opinions on China than S Korea and Japan and some of those countries still buy the Uyghur genocide narrative.

Wellllllll not if Trump can change the US forever. If he can make such an impression that every Republican candidate after him runs based on how similar he is to Trump, this could get quite interesting.
