WS-20 simply doesn't fit, certainly not four of them.

non-afterburning, bypass optimised versions of WS-10 or even WS-15 are reasonably assumption. Lots of things competing for space so size constraint is the main factor in engine choice. Of course that depends on the actual size of the H-20 itself.

Isn't the WS-20 developed with WS-10 engine core ?

And given that the (low-bypass) WS-15 is now in mass production, it makes sense to develop new [high-bypass] and [medium-bypass] versions with the WS-15 engine core.

My original calculations were off using a SFC of 0.68 instead of the target 0.665 for the new engine which would give the theoretical bomber even further range, or make it smaller making 220-240T MTOW more likely IMO.

The SFC of 0.665 is for the WS-18?

No, quoting the original post here, D-30KP-2/WS-18 has a official SFC of 0.705 kg/(kgf*h) in cruise. Where in an academic paper discussing a flying wing bomber, it mentioned a new target engine which could replace the WS-18 with little modification and has a cruise SFC of 0.665kg/(kgf*h).

Instead of focusing on the bomber size written in the paper, it focuses on changing the engines without redesigning/reconfiguring the inlets and nozzles of the aircraft. Which could make sense for an H-20 like bomber, where WS-18's are used as a stopgap for the prototyping stage, while a newer more efficient medium bypass can be easily swapped in for a production model.

Tbh, it's a bit difficult to associate least detectable asset with longest range effector.
You use long range weapons against things you see from afar, or expect the weapon to be able to find...

That’s incorrect on multiple levels.

Stealth bombers are not designed nor required to be your least detectable asset. They just need to be hard enough to detect from far away enough to be able to get their payloads within range to hit their intended targets with a sufficiently high probability.

Secondly, you do not use your stealth bombers as scouts or hunter killers, you use them to kill targets your scouts have detected and identified for you.

In that respect, your scout assets are your least detectable assets, which makes easy sense because you don’t need to burden their designs with the need to carry a huge internal weapons bay for the munitions your stealth bomber will instead be bringing to the party, so with the same tech level, you can make your scouts more stealthy than your bombers and at lower costs.

Ultra long range weapons also makes perfect sense as they make the most of the bomber’s weapons pay dimensions; use range to make up for the bomber’s own lack of speed; and also provide additional stand-off safety for the bomber to go after hard targets like enemy warships and aircraft without increasing the risk to the bomber itself.

You misunderstood me. The point was that it makes little sense to bet on intermediate range anti-air missile against a target you don't see from afar.

Perhaps the thinking was a space based system like SB-AMTI would have more luck picking up flying wing bombers from long distance, thus the need for a very long range air-to-air weapon to take advantage of it.

You would of course not expect H-20 to be designed to fly right over the carrier and drop iron bombs on it, at the minimum you would think it would be dropping weapons similar to LRASM like the recent B-2 exercise. If you let such a bomber get too close to the carrier thanks to its VLO nature it would be too late to stop the attack, even if you could take out the bomber on its way out after it launched its attack.
