Hasn't been to Tibet in 20 years and has zero idea of the current material conditions there. Can only find work as an Uber driver. This situation is sad overall since he main-lined CIA/Indian created fiction straight into his veins for years which led to this. Meanwhile the guys at top of the "Tibetans in exile" activist groups are living high on the hog from NED/Indian money and won't give a second thought to another discarded human tool in the propaganda toolbox. (Don't believe that NED is actually dead)

Also, I love this part of the article.

Ummm, may we see some evidence or articles or ANY information at all regarding the quoted figure of 150 self immolations over 17 years? Seems like this would be bigger news but I've never heard about them except this one, even in western anti-China media which would jump all over it... (I did find some old articles, but EVERY source each article is referencing either Radio Free Asia or the Free Tibet Campaign group and then they circularly reference each other...)
I think it's not a bad idea to promote self immolation among these people, they should all get together and set all of them on fire to protest China, would be even better if we build a furnace first and attach a turbine to get some energy out of it.

Impressive own goal by the US. The tariffs on Aluminum imports have basically been just a tax on themselves as domestic production has seen zero meaningful increase. I have also read elsewhere that the ROI for electricity generation is heavily influenced by AI data centres, which means this trend is only continuing for at least the near future.

Have you considered the possibility that the tariffs wasn’t actually solely about imports but also aims to raise massive tax revenues?

While everyone can tell trying to use tariffs to reduce imports where there is no viable domestic suppliers is never going to work, it does raise a massive amount of revenue for the government and reduced the need for more wonton money printing. You just use trade as the dog whistle to get the turkey’s to vote for Christmas dinner.

I know it’s actually incredible to accuse Trump of having a plan, but not everyone around him and advising him are brain dead idiots, so I think it is actually interestingly plausible that once in a while, Trump might actually be able to sneak a smart play past everyone because no one would be expecting it.

Not really on those types of cameras themselves, as most of the camera work are focused on mobile - Vivo, Xiaomi, or more portable cameras like Insta360 and DJI. There are some Chinese mirrorless lens companies transitioning from manual focus into auto focus market as we speak. They are targeting 3rd party market such as Sigma.

Okay, I hope there will be some companies taking advantage of lack of innovation in this sector. Sony/Nikon/Fuji charging unimaginable prices even for 5yr old cameras/lens.

Strange that this kind of cause still exists, sure burning one self to death is counter productive in that if rids said nation he is protesting against of an potential problem and given how the current Tibet is more livable then the hell hole he is in, this reaks of an elaborate suicide attempt without any actual goal or point to it other then attention. Really this movement along with the HK movement is more or less dead at this point. They must seriously have been broken by the fact that no matter what they did, they have effectively wasted their lives for nothing but their so called handlers amusement

Lets be honest. He had a shit life and wants to end himself. However he still cares about that Izzat or whatever so he decided to go out pretending he had a cause coz otherwise people will just mock him as killing himself coz life was too tough for him.

A lot of people do this. They just ride on whatever narrative they can grasp to get any last remaining bits of dignity. Same as people who claim to be oppressed group of XXX so they can get a greencard to the west coz back home sucks. Meanwhile do you see Dalai Lama or any of those guys in power or with money wanting to burn themselves? After all they should be so dedicated to the cause right? Yet for some reason thats only for the "dalits" and poors to do not them.
