Sorry to say, but what is inevitable is that Australians will strongly shift back towards the US once Trump is gone. Hell, they might even do it if Trump eats one McDonald's cheeseburger too many and detestable JD Vance all of a sudden has to take over. Anglos (and whites in general) stick together and will never think of an Asian as an equal. Simple as that.
I have long came to the conclusion that what people in western countries "think" never mattered because, the reality is, they don't think at all.
If the elite tells them to hate China, they won't be allowed to see China content while pushed China bad then think China's bad, if the elite tell them to like China, they'll be allowed to see China travel content and think they like China, if the elite tells them to kill themselves, they think COVID isn't real and kill themselves by the millions, if the elite tells them they're free, they think they're free even as they're forced to work 2 jobs just so they can stay access healthcare to stay alive.
People in the west doesn't "think", the only thing that matters and ever mattered is what they're told, so even discussing what their latest opinion is is a waste of time, the only thing that matters is what does western feudal elites want right now, and in Australia's case, right now they want an outlet to the pain Trump is imposing on them.
It also means by imposing pain on western elites, you can also make western public "think" anything.
