My wild speculation: this may have something to with the incoming resumption of gallium export bans to the US, which were suspended in Nov. 2025 and set to resume in five months on 26 Nov. 2026 (

Indium is used in a lot of electronics though it'd argue one of its most important uses is being paired with gallium to create IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide). A key material in transparent display tech like OLED and capacitive touch displays.
More recently IGZO is a key ingredient in 3D DRAM, which allows for capacitor-less designs and Multilevel Cells (MLC).
SK Hynix had a proof-of-concept model at Computex 2026 so the industry is well past the research phase (

Given CXMT and YMTC are expected to start ramping up production soon, and the rollout of 东数西算 (East Data, West Compute), it wouldn't surprise me if this was part of a medium-term roadmap to ensure China had sufficient access to leading edge DRAM.

IIRC ,former Chinese Premier Wen Jia Bao was a geologist and a RE's engineer par excellence,who reportedly said "nothing goes on in the RE's industry without him knowing"-Also a university in Inner Mongolia is said to have a specialized engineering degree course specializing in RE's and their mining/refining/production-bet they won't be accepting foreign students anytime soon.Remember 6N's-9N's purity , otherwise it's just dirt.

Translation: I need help with the MoU and you(Xi) are my only hope.

He 100% want's the help of China in alleviating the coming Economic Crises in the World and the US and to help with the MoU making more concessions to China then last time just to get his ass out of this war and get the strait of Hormuz open and the US economy on a soft landing. He's doing everything but restraining Israel to get this deal trough.

Hey now for all the decades where America has been arming Taiwan and instigating problems with its Filipino and Japanese proxies, it’s high time norinco and other Chinese mil-industrial complex entities started profiting from irans arms trade and to test Chinese weapons against American and nato forces. Same principle applies and the scales urgently need to be rebalanced to equity. Way I see it, America is in hoc to China for at least decades worth of arms sales to Iran to be targeted against American forces.
