China's may auto sales, top selling models and exporting models.
Wow…crazy to see how BYD models have fallen off the top of list in China . Really shocking . I’m amazed Tesla is doing so good, better than almost all the other Chinese models except Geely . Really surprising that BYD seems to be more popular overseas even more than in China actually . I guess they will be relying more on overseas market going forward and probably selling much more abroad than in China this coming years . Which isn’t a bad thing actually .

BYD will start assembling cars at its new plant in Hungary in the fourth quarter of this year and the Chinese automaker has paused work on a plant ‌in Turkey while it focuses on production in Europe, a top executive said on Tuesday.

"Hungary is the number one priority right now," Executive Vice President Stella Li told Reuters at the company's UK headquarters in west London. "The second priority will be to focus on finding a second (production) facility in Europe."

Automotive exports continued their streak last month, with total exports up 73% YOY and NEVs more than doubling to constitute a majority.

It is undeniable that BYD’s sales saw a significant decline in the first quarter of this year, but this occurred during a period of overall model transition, with production capacity conflicts arising between the second-generation Blade Battery and the first-generation Blade Battery, which is exclusively supplied to overseas markets. Currently, BYD has accumulated a large number of orders for models equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery in the domestic market, while the corresponding production capacity will take several months to ramp up.

Replace by electric vehicles! Only three range-extended electric models achieved monthly sales exceeding 5,000 units in May, marking the largest drop in nearly five years.
