Assuming that the J-35 does get adapted for type 001&002 I have a few questions:
1. How many J-35 will be used for each carrier?
2. Are there enough carrier based J-35 to equip all carriers and if not how many months/years of production will it take?

Liaoning (Type 001) Capacity: Approximately 24 J-15 fighter jets
Shandong (Type 002) Capacity: Approximately 36 J-15 fighter jets

Maths:
J-15
occupies 21.2 m × 14.7 m ~312 m²
J‑35
occupies 17.3 m × 7.8 m ~136 m²

Theoratically you could replace1 x J-15 with 2 x J-35
As a PLAN officier, it's a privileged "Battleship Boardgame" scenario to pick and choose from between how many J-35s vs. J-15s.

Are you trying to say that the width of a “folded” J-15 (the narrowest folding PLANAF regularly-carrierborne manned fixed-wing aircraft) is 14.7m and the width of a “folded” J-35 is 7.8m?

…interesting…

Could you please tell us on what dimensions you base this IMO strange calculation?
Give the source's rather limited credibility I have some very strong reservations on that data.
