35t for Type 100 is just the bare vehicle, with addon armor that value is likely to reach near 40t. Addon armor for this vehicle is much thicker than Type 100's especially the front, while the base hull is also stretched while having a new turret with a large caliber gun will probably push this vehicle when fully armored to high 40s ton range.
I was assuming combat weight meant with everything included but if this not the case I believe 45-50T is still the upper limit.
Type 100 hull is stated to be 7.44m long. The new hull doesn't appear to be much longer, 7.8m long at most IMO.
T-14 Armata on the other hand is stated by UVZ to be >50T with most estimates around ~52T. T-14 is 8.7m long. Turret weight around 10-12T in weight. T-14 Armata uses a long 125mm, and this likely does too. So turret weights likely will be similar.
Basically if Type 100 tank is <25T hull weight. New tank hull is IMO at most <32T. Tank Turret ~10-12T. Addon armor 3T (VT-5 addon armor weight).
All in all added up. <32T + 12T + 3T = <47T weight.
5T lighter than T-14 Armata seems realistic no? Considering that the T-14's hull is nearly a meter longer.
This is bloody conservative too after adding 7T of hull weight for a small if at all size increase.
