People are making fun of Trump, but I actually think he’s quite rational and knows when to back off when he’s hit a wall. Plus he does want the US to focus more on her neighborhood and control all the Americas than extending herself globally which is not sustainable In the long term . He’s not ideological like many western leaders and he’s more practical and look at things the way they are instead of basing his policies on emotions/ideology like many western leaders do.
so I think he does a better job in this aspect . The only issue I think he’s not doing well foreign policy wise is alienating some allies for no good reason , other than that I think he’s not too wrong on China
Yeah, but you’re skipping the part where this “realism” came only after he tried the genius plan of slapping 145% tariffs on China, triggering rare-earth retaliation, and accelerating American demilitarization and the very deindustrialization he pretends to oppose.
His own dumb escalation forced him to back down. Now he’s “being realistic” because China didn’t fold, the U.S. couldn’t absorb the blow, and he suddenly needs meetings he was too arrogant to think he’d ever have to beg for, even one year later.

Well here is where all the Trump haters in the West wanted Trump to be Trump in China. They’re pointing out how Trump was well-behaved like they were disappointed. After all the discussions I’m seeing post-summit and how the media wanted to press Trump on defending Taiwan by selling arms, I only saw one that brought up the hypocrisy of demanding China not aid Iran in the war. The US is all worried about reported anti-aircraft missiles China is shipping to Iran. When doing that for Taiwan they call that defensive weapons therefore okay to send. What are they worried about when they were laughing at the non-performance of the anti-aircraft Chinese systems they already have. Then they were peeing in their skirts when after the F35 being shot down was reported that China was secretly shipping MANPADs to Iran. Are they saying their mostly stealthy fighter jet in the world was shot down with a MANPAD? The media is humiliating Trump. I wonder if that’s a tactic to force Trump to show’em he’s tough on China.
And punish the Republic of Chyna by returning those chip makers to Murica, whilst ensuring such theft will never occur again by making the Republic of Chyna great again (though inserting the word “People’s” into its official name).
