Israel is not to be underestimated ever. Israel is a religious death cult that wants to live by creating fear in the region, If Muslims nations get nukes they will likely push for a Shia-Sunny nuclear war, and they are cunning enough to make it happen and if they find themselves ever in the losing side, even probably in a conventional war, they already "stated" that would activate the Samson doctrine, they are willing commit nationwide suicide by killing millions in the entire Middle East and being nuked themselves by Pakistan, or Iran or Saudi Arabia in the case these countries ever get nukes.
A few years ago I would had said that is exaggerated but look the situation now, the Israeli managed to get the powerful US military to be Netanyahu mercenary army, they managed to get key people inside the Trump administration to achieve Bibi long term goal of the Greater Israel. Is like Japan or SK asking the US to to go to war with NK before they have nukes, the US wasn't crazy enough to do that.

None of the gulf states are particularly politically stable countries if you actually look past the oil wealth, literally gilded cities. Most rely on large imported labour force and mercenary to fight their battles while the monarchs figure out new ways to burn their money.
If Iran gets the bomb and it cascades into a nuclear region, there would be just completely unpredictable risks to nuclear proliferation that inches the entire region into nuclear war, even discounting such risks, it will just mean it will be that much easier for terrorists to break in and gather enough material for dirty bombs.
Justice has nothing to do with it, you just straight up don't want nukes in a region with so much political instability and extremist activity, Israel included. It sucks for small countries, but I'm glad that currently only the big boys have the button to erase a lot of cities.
Decision to attack Iran was finalized in 2001, by CIA. Timing was not final. Elected members are figureheads in these matters.

Israel is not to be overestimated either. Essentially, the failed to understand Iran's power and started a war that they can't finish even with the US. If they're so cunning, this wouldn't have taken so long, instead, they had to wait for the stupidest US president in history to trick into doing this at a time when US primacy is on its last legs and their strategy was to assassinate Iran's soft upper ranks so the IRGC comes into power. Do not overestimate them just because they tell you they are some god's chosen; they are just an effective parasitic race that only works on caucasian hosts.
Justice has everything to do with it. All rage, all anger stems from a feeling of injustice. Either all the middle-eastern countries can have nukes or nobody can have them. What doesn't work is that nobody but Israel has them. If only the big boys of the world have them, maybe that would work since "big boys" should be a term that represents a country that has earned the world's respect through distinguished achievements but Israel is an angry mean genocidal midget and the fact that it has nukes makes countries that strive for fairness wonder why they should have less than the most hated nation in the world. With all the horrible things that Israel has done, it still has not used the nuke. There is no reason to believe that any nation would have worse morals than Israel.
I actually do not think Iran having nuke will change the fundamental calculus of the region. Saudi Arabia is under Pakistani nuclear umbrella. Other gulf states have US bases that if nuke lands it count as attack on American troops. The only difference it makes is Iran vs Israel balance.
IMHO, Iran should not have nuclear weapon by itself. If you let Iran has nuclear weapon, I think many more other countries will also want nuclear weapon in the future. If there are many countries with nuclear weapons, this will create more instability to the world. How many countries do you want to have nuclear weapons before we say no more country to have nuclear weapon? 10 countries? 20 countries? 50 countries?
Iran can run nuclear reactor facility but it should be run together between Iranian with Russian/Chinese or International body. As for nuclear protection, China or Russia or Pakistan can provide nuclear umbrella for Iran. If Iran still can not be convinced not to have its own nuclear weapon, maybe there can be arrangement just like in the past, between Soviet Union and Kazakhstan, Russia can leave some nuclear weapon in Iran just for protection but run by Russian or International body.
We probably also need to create a framework for future, if any country wants to have nuclear reactor for pure energy and not being suspicious of wanting to have nuclear weapon.
For the current hostility, we need to go back to the original reason why Iran wants to have nuclear weapon, I think it is primarily because of Israel and Iran is also a proud country with long civilization history. So to solve all this, we need to make sure Israel to let Palestine has its own state and give back the territory taken and not let Israel expanding its territory again. USA must be advised to reign on Israel and make peace with its neighbors.
To have peace in Middle East, there must be peace between Israel and Iran. If Israel is not being checked and only punishing Iran which is unfair, this war will happen again in the future.

If Israel has it, Iran must have it. If Israel is stripped of its nukes, Iran doesn't need them. You want to check Israel but you're not going to as you allow them to be the only nuclear power in the region. Nobody should have less than Israel, combine that with Israel's minicule size and then they can be checked.
It is exactly why there must be peace between Israel and Iran. If there is no peace guarantee for Israel, it will feel threatened by its neighbors (which launched wars against it in the past), that's why it wants to keep its nuclear weapon. Israel already has nuclear weapon since 1950s, so it has nuclear weapon before even some major countries.

Are you making excuses for why Isreal starts all the wars in the region while commiting rape and genocide? So that's why they need nukes to make them feel safe? Israel needs to be dismantled to be honest, and the land given to a Palestinian nation. That is the final peace.
