If it comes to that, expect rest of the world to pursue a nuclear program, especially other middleastern countries. In the latter case, they'd pivot towards Pakistan who's already suspected of international nuclear proliferation. Then the US can restart it's propaganda to eliminate Pakistani nukes.

Meanwhile, current US strategy, I'm certain, revolves around forcing the reluctant Arabs into war against Iran. UAE appears to have been convinced. Ironically, UAE is also the one Gulf country that doesn't have a Pakistani ex-general in it's intelligence apparatus.

So far Iran has refrained from attacking Israeli desalination plants. This is likely their escalation response reserved for any usage of WMD against them.

The US doesn't really have a strategy.

In comparison, it most certainly is Israel's strategy to have the US, Iran and the Arabs to kill each other.
