I do not visit reddit.

Came across this, and I got no idea what they are babbling about.

Thought I would come here and ask for a translation.

Then I thought, forget it. Probably not serious. Like they talking about the homosexuals of Hormuz or something.

Still, got a chuckle from the headline, hence will post that.

Heh!

:p

BBC: Yesterday in London at the Old Bailey two British Hong Kong nationals were found guilty of working for Chinese intelligence as part of what is described as a spy operation. What’s your reaction?

Lin Jian: China has made its principled position clear on this case more than once. By arresting and suing Chinese nationals in the UK without any factual basis, and securing the conviction by abusing the law and judicial process, the UK is blatantly endorsing those seeking to destabilize Hong Kong. Such groundless accusations and smears against China are nothing but a typical political stunt. China strongly deplores and firmly opposes it, and has lodged serious protests against the UK.

We urge the UK to rectify its wrongdoings, stop its political manipulation against China, stop emboldening the anti-China, destabilizing forces, and preserve the hard-won positive momentum in China-UK relations.

....

Foreign Minister Wang Yi says China, US can work together for the benefit of both countries and the world as he met with a US delegation led by senator Steve Daines in Beijing on Thursday. Wang urged the delegation, the first bipartisan group of US senators to visit since 2025, to see China’s development firsthand and inject fresh impetus into bilateral cooperation.

The foreign minister noted that China’s policy remains consistent: mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation. Wang said that for China and the US to get along, they must fix their misunderstandings, just like fixing the first button on a shirt.

Wang emphasized that China will not follow the obsolete model of a country seeking hegemony when growing stronger and hopes the US will view China objectively.

Members of the US delegation shared their impressions of China and discussed the development of US-China relations. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.

It is Chairman Mao.

This is not my line, I believe a white person said it.

Chairman Mao proclaimed in 1949 that the Chinese people had stood up.

Ever since that day, the West wished China sit back down again.

:D

Chairman Mao set the standard.

All leaders after him have to at least be close to protecting Chinese interests in all realms.

Century of Humiliation indeed-was just reviewing the videos/articles of the Chinese WW1 Labour Force which greatly aided the Allies and what did China(fought/bled,laboured/died in the trenches) get after the Western Powers victory???Brutal treatment/rejection,betrayal, lies, broken promises after broken promises and the further subjugation/exploitation-China /Chinese has indeed stood up -this time with sword in hand and fire in the heart.Ironically.-the Paris 1918 Conference illustrated the historic Law of Unintended Consequences to the maximium-An unfairly, blamed Germany produced Hitler to address German grievances and the Chinese had their May 4th Movement/Birth of the CPC-modern Chinese Nationalism(yes,KMT too) and the resultant powerhouse of China today that rightfully does not recognize, believe, nor trust in the West's words/promises.

wsj report on Chinese owned autoparts comps in US, curious, why they have this article now?

China’s Cars Aren’t in the U.S., but Its Auto Parts Are Everywhere

Chinese companies have amassed ownership stakes in about 5% of 10,000 auto suppliers in America

More than 60 auto suppliers in the U.S. today are owned by companies located in China, according to data compiled by the consulting firm AlixPartners. Those include large manufacturers of air bags, automotive glass, and steering systems.

Plus stabbing us the back by supporting Japan's invasion until Japan started attacking western influence unlike in Spain where they prevented the Spanish Republic from recieving any support whats so ever.

Their idea of cosmopolitism is basically western cultural dominance because western values are pretty much promoted as univerisal values even though the West clearly values none of them.

It's a reason why they praise colonial Shanghai because it was basically an aparthied state that is also a crime ridden, corrupt hellhole but they protray it as modernization and multiculturalism when in reality it was cultural replacement because Haipai culture is basically westernized garbage.

Unfortuantly Shanghainese people romanticize that era and even claim that it's there heritage and the local government is also doing it aswell.

Here is a reddit post of Shanghainese people worshipping that era. No wonder why my Shanghainese dad said "Shanghainese people are famous for being traitors".
