Rajasthan is a natural barrier to military manuevers from both sides - soft, sinking desert, quicksand and mud; not conducive to armor movement. I believe one of the reasons for the recent development of the Indian Zorowar light tank is for this terrain. In 2024, the Zorowar underwent field testing in Rajasthan.

Well Zorowar was also touted as being able to go to the northern heights India-China border because their main heavies couldnt, so it works for both.

No idea from what I have heard it was due to some secrecy, They didnt want to fly on Saudi flagged planes.
