"This is not our war. We will not be drawn into the conflict. That is not in our national interest."

Direct quote from Starmer today. Looks like the UK is out. Unexpected, but not not unwelcome. And he announced it on the same day, and a few hours ahead, of Trump's planned speech too. That timing is likely deliberate.

Either its going to be a TACO or the US will have to go it alone. Even the Brits aren't on board this time.

Iran Bombs Israel Telecom Hubs In Missile Wave 88

Correct strategy by Iran on keep hitting Israel and US positions in the middle east. It's all about setting the tempo, either your opponents play to your tune or you play to theirs. Ignore whatever Trump says this or that.....just execute according to your tempo. Dismantling US bases, key interests, communication centers, officers hideout throughout the GCC and in Israel, the power infra, comm infra, fuel/refinery infra, industrial infra and don't be surprise that Israelis IDF shifted their HQ under a hospital building....it's war, whatever seems unlikely, will be likely...there's no restriction really...it's all about achieving goals of war aim

I see Trump has taken his master Biden teachings to heart.

“If you don’t know what you are doing. Neither does your enemy.”

  • Another administration official claimed: "This isn't 3D chess — it's 12-dimensional. He contradicts himself regularly, so nobody knows what he's thinking. It's on purpose."

“Surrender your leverage first and then we will consider a ceasefire”

says the bad faith negotiators who use peace talks as an ruse for the 100th time.

Trump says Iran’s president asked for ceasefire, but U.S. wants Hormuz Strait open first

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said Iran’s president has asked the U.S. for a ceasefire.

But the U.S. will “consider” the offer only once the Strait of Hormuz is “open, free, and clear,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!!” he wrote.

The announcement came hours before Trump was set to deliver an “important update on Iran” in an address to the nation, according to the White House.

The address is set for 9 p.m. ET.

The war began on Feb. 28 when the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran, causing widespread economic turmoil and massive fluctuations in global energy prices.

That turbulence is linked in large part to Iran’s continued ability to effectively block the Strait of Hormuz, the pathway for a major chunk of the world’s oil shipments.

Trump has acknowledged that the strait remains a key sticking point in the war, even as he and other administration officials insist that Iran’s military has been “obliterated” and that the U.S. is rapidly achieving its goals.

Security of shipping lanes.
Technically this could also work for iran Hormuz Jizya .. or ...or ... an Aya-TOLL-ah
Why would he or they do that?
Because trump only likes 'wins' not losses, if he finds out how much losses are happening or iran isnt beaten yet he might taco out.
so he is only shown positive coverage.
Hmmm What does he mean by that? China will do something something ?
No not at all, Victor gao doesnt speak for CN government.

why is the guy in his short-shorts but wearing helmet and vest etc?

US Vice President Vance spoke to intermediaries about Iran conflict as recently as Tuesday, source says

WASHINGTON, April 1 (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President JD Vance communicated with intermediaries from Pakistan about the Iran conflict ‌as recently as Tuesday, a person briefed on the matter told Reuters, a sign of his expanding role in efforts to broker an end to the conflict.

At President Donald Trump's direction, Vance signaled privately that Trump was open to a ceasefire as long as certain U.S. demands were met, the source told Reuters on Wednesday.

Vance also delivered what the source described as a "stern message" that Trump was impatient, warning there would be growing pressure on Iranian infrastructure unless Tehran agreed to a deal.

Pakistan has been acting as an intermediary between the United States and Iran, the source said.

Vance has taken a greater role in trying to ‌negotiate an end to the war, now in its fifth week. Widely viewed as a potential successor to Trump in the 2028 presidential election, Vance has taken a cautious approach on the conflict, reflecting his long-held skepticism of prolonged U.S. military involvement overseas.

The source said the team that Trump has said are involved in negotiations - Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner - remain involved.

Trump has warned the U.S. would attack Iranian infrastructure but has delayed launching such attacks on Iran's power grid until April 6 in hopes of reaching a deal with Tehran.

MAGA USA: “I demand your unconditional surrender because I need to brag about it in China next month.”

Below is Trump's Truth Social post from earlier this morning concerning the alleged — if not debunked — Iranian ceasefire request:

The

is rather bizarre:

1. There's no "New Regime President" in Tehran, Masoud Pezeshkian has been the president of Iran since the summer of 2024.

2. Trump was declaring his intent to cease hostilities against Iran within 2-3 weeks — just yesterday — without reopening the Strait of Hormuz under the expectation that allies like France would have to "fend for themselves."

This is on top of some of the most hawkish, pro-war influences circling Trump turning dovish the past several days:

There's Lindsey Graham of all people telling Trump: "Keep it up Mr President. Wind down the war and wind up efforts for an historic peace deal."

Then there's the

" dated March 26 which stated:

However, the seizure and indefinite occupation of the island would pose significant operational challenges and come at a high cost for little strategic return.
A combination of Marines, Army airborne troops, and special operations forces could likely seize Kharg Island relatively quickly, though naval assets would encounter Iranian threats in transit to the island. However, the real problems for US forces would likely start once they are on the island, where they would face considerable force protection and sustainment challenges.

There's the possibility that Trump and the buffoons around him have finally come to recognize the limits of American military power, but that would be out of character.

Perhaps something more Machiavellian — at least in aspirational terms — is in the works!
