Looks like they're really going to try an amphibious assault against Iran.
Isnt this reminiscent of constantly bringing in the large carriers only for them to end up being taken out of action.
just bringing un more things doesn’t equate to progress.
Can someone who is experienced or knowledgeable in this please explain to a layman like me what the strategy would be here? Is this posturing? Is it to force Iran into a preemptive move ? Or is there some corridor these marines have to actually get to irans land and capture something? I’m very curious and confused.
There is none. Trump is adlibbing as he goes along.
Everyone expect an amphibious operation which is precisely why that won’t be the main spearhead. Trump wants surprises like he said today about Pearl Harbor. The main operation will probably be dropping the 82nd all over Southern Iran because everyone attention is on an amphibious component. No one even talks about the 82nd.
He sends special forces into Venezuela under a full moon instead of a moonless night. Starts a war with Iran in broad daylight instead of the expected night time assault. Everyone talks about the marines and more amphibious components being deployed. Everything is being laid out and Trump doesn’t like it being obvious.
