They fought for 7 years in the Iran-Iraq war, which killed 200k-800k Iranians, and sustained attacks from US/French sourced chemical weapons and constant bombardment from ballistic missiles and aircraft. They beat back armored thrusts using volunteer light infantry and held their positions until wiped out by artillery and chemical weapons and did so for years. They held against an enemy with a 10:1 advantage in armor and airpower and equipped with chemical weapons by the West for 7 fuckin years.

Bombing that girl's school was such a major own goal in that respect. Another reason why it's unlikely for an uprising to happen inside of Iran. If you are trying to overthrow the government you are actively aligning yourself with people who bomb schools.

No, it has led to rash targeting by the military forcing their diplomats to continuously to deny or apologize.
No, I’d say it worked quite well. Though I suppose to NATO and Israel supporters, it may be quite frustrating.
No one cares about the diplomats. Iran needed to strike and strike they did. allowing your land to be used for US military bases makes you complicit
