Today's lesson in mathematics - I heard she has a degree from MIT the other day?
I feel like what we know about China and what the rest of the world knows about China are two different things entirely. This includes think tanks and so called China experts in the west.
If you post here regularly, you are probably aware of China's developments in renewable, energy and of course tech. You are aware how the government actually functions, how they delegate specific functions to specific departments, how Xi doesn't in fact make every damn decision. You are aware of how China operates both mechanically and culturally.
In contrast, I bet most people outisde don't even know who Li Qiang is never mind all the other high level decision makers. They really thing Xi does everything on his own. They think Chinese factories still use 5 year old kids make shows using their bare hands not realizing how economically this is and how any company will find itself bankrupt in the face of competitors that use the latest supply chain tools with tech. Japan and Taiwan literally use hanzi so there's no language barrier excuse and they still have utmost retarded takes on China.
