Trump has already damaged the US position in Asia more than words can convey or promise, which is especially true when valuing Trump's words.
When I started following SDF almost 20 years ago, I was concerned only about China and our goals. To me, Taiwan was the most important thing in the world. Now, Taiwan's return to China seems guaranteed, only the manner and time being debated, and seeing the abominations committed in the middle east, I'm more concerned about the plight of Iranians and Palestinians than our own affairs over the strait. Now, the military domination over an island 100 miles away seems to be the low-hanging fruit. We must develop our military to fight half the world away to bring justice to the world.

The blood and treasure of the Chinese nation should not be spent on oversea follies that do not benefit Chinese citizens, who are paying for all of that.

It is our national interest to suppress our enemies before they can corrupt our allies. That is the material benefit to Chinese citizens. The emotional satisfaction of justice is only the bonus.
Thats not how this works, China wont sent any RE for US military period and Taiwan is already done, not that its ever America's to give.
America has no place outside America in the new world order, and thats the good outcome if they sit out Taiwan

Because first strike to the head is still very impactful, you can see that in the 12 days war. Slower response could lead massive casualties in the field. It doesn't win the war but certainly helps.
Seriousness aside, why should we decapitate him? Why would you kill the best nation builder?
