Add to the differing class dynamics of the gulf countries, but especially the UAE. Where you have actual UAE citizens and its hoards of wealthy expats that are used to living day to day luxurious lifestyles, with the thought of actually being under siege and having to change their consumption habits accordingly being a reality they've never considered. And then the hoards of lowly migrant workers that actually keep the place running. Its actually very dangerous to be stuck in Dubai or places like that right now.
They have to worry about bombing and yet their ammo is running out very fast.
But more dangerously is the system is disrupted. Stuff like food and water are said to run out quite fast.
As a citizen you might not be affected by bombs but you will be affected by lack of supplies. And in war this is the real killer.
If the food and water situation does get real bad, I gander it'll play out like similar scenarios where the wealthy will keep every last morsel of the remaining supplies for themselves. Which would of course result in the lower classes getting desparate and then soon the Iranians may find that with respect to the UAE they can save their ammo, since the country will essentially become a real life version of Lord of the Flies.
