So is the Trump Admin going to use this for domestic propaganda for war with Iran.
Considering the whole Epistein debacle I don't think they care a single iota about domestic support.
It's a purely hard power game right now and US isn't looking that hard right now.
The only reason Trump doesn't want a ground war is because even he knows it'll end the empire.

China is equally responsible for the death of thousands of Russians, as Ukrainians rely heavily on Chinese sourced drones. That's not helping Russia, it's simply not impeding it like Europe does. China is, for all it matters, very reluctant to fully commit to backing any given side of any conflict in their recent history. In the short term that pragmatism is rewarding, in the long term it might prove dentrimental.
I think Chinese officials would argue that getting bogged in the Middle East for costly wars is one of the things why China is slowly getting the upper hand. If china attacked taiwan tomorrow for whatever reason, what percentage of the US military can be expected to respond in a reasonable time? How much appetite would there be for a war with a near peer military?

That may be true, it strenghtens Chinas regional position, which is arguably their priority. But geopolitically, they're not gaining ground in other regions with that sort of thinking. The Atlanticist Empire of the US has so much influence around the world because they back, fund, supply, occupy and control so many countries and factions directly through cold hard cash and lead. China is only relying on cash. To be clear, the Chinese position is no coincidence and beyond reason, it's just that they're very early in the stages of being a super power and thus I don't expect them to fully commit on the international stage like the US and USSR at their height. But even considering that they're still unusually passive. In a way it reflects more so middle powers and countries that seek to balance interest and influence. Just that China does this mostly economically motivated.
