Without BDA, the strikes are kinda meaningless. Iran has perfectly good Intel on US aircraft concentration from Chinese sats. A concentrated barrage on the Israeli airport hosting dozens of F-22s would've been a unprecedented loss of prestige for the US, striking random gulf state installations is not really going to achieve much for Iran.

Those are highly mobile targets, and this is the opening strike where America controls all initiatives. It would have been crazy to expect those F22s and F35s to still be on the ground parked all nice and neat when America was launching its alpha strike. For Iran to launch massed missile attacks against those air bases as its opening response would have just seen it waste those missiles hitting empty parking spaces by the time the missiles arrived.

The best way to deal with those air bases was to do Ukraine style massed suicide drone attacks from just outside the airport security perimeter. Let’s see if Iran has the ability to pull something like that off.

What Iran is doing is actually quite smart and responsible, it’s taking out American long range sensors across the region to shape the battlespace to facilitate more effective large scale strikes later.

There will now be immense pressure from all Gulf states to seize the attacks by the US and Israel, simply declare victory and return to the negotiation table. Israel and US can endure for weeks but I don't think the Gulf states are ready to be under the constant threat of Iran's missile.

I think that must also be Iran's thinking. Show them that this time it won't just be Israel targeted so that they pressure Trump to stop it or least make it very clear that they aren't participating. A hit in the middle of Dubai, Riyadh and Qatar and there will be very uncomfortable questions for the leaders of those nations. Retaliate, escalate further and risk huge civilian and infrastructure damage or quickly declare victory and move on.

I think Iran is playing it smart by hitting everyone and then stopping. Though if Khamenei was really killed as it is rumored I do that know if they can really stop now.

UK, France and Germany condemn Iran's retaliatory attacks in joint statement

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has condemned Iran's retaliatory attacks on neighbouring countries after joint strikes from the US and Israel earlier today.

In a joint statement with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, he says: "France, Germany and the United Kingdom have consistently urged the Iranian regime to end Iran's nuclear programme, curb its ballistic missile programme, refrain from its destabilising activity in the region and our homelands, and to cease the appalling violence and repression against its own people.

"We did not participate in these strikes, but are in close contact with our international partners, including the United States, Israel and partners in the region. We reiterate our commitment to regional stability and to the protection of civilian life.

"We condemn Iranian attacks on countries in the region in the strongest terms. Iran must refrain from indiscriminate military strikes. We urge the Iranian leadership to seek a negotiated solution. Ultimately, the Iranian people must be allowed to determine their future."

What a wonderful result earlier negotiations in Switzerland have achieved, Ser Keir urges Iran should seek a "negotiated solution" and cease voilence against its own people (like missile attack on girls school).
