At the end of the day, when faced with a harsh decision of defending lofty national ideals or being able to pay the rent and put food on the table, most people would chose the latter. Especially in the case of most average American families, who have a pitifully low amount of savings to fall back on at best, and massive credit card and other debts more likely.
It’s almost certainly not intentional, buts is really chilling how much easier you can get a whole populous to abandon grand ideals and higher aspirations if you push them right to the brink of the poverty line with little margin for error. Standing up for others and grand ideals is risky. Far fewer people will do it if they have zero margins of safety to take that risk.

Okay, the beer is wearing off, so got to write this, because apparently that is what happened.
There were demonstrations in Iran. Apparently the US government cause a run on the Iranian currency the rial, causing it to plummet, leading to a spike in price all across the economy. People in Iran were upset, went to the streets to protest. Do not remember if Bessent said this on Twitter or not.
Then these protest were hijacked by people, who probably were Afghan refugees, who were paid off by Mossad. These new wave of protesters, set fire to Mosques and burned fire engines too, according to some rumour or news.
This new wave of protestors, they had Starlink equipment to organize their efforts. That is weird, because Iran had its underwear sanctioned, but somehow Starlink gear was inside the country.
So what happened next, the Iranian government finally got their act together, using Russia gear and Chinese tech that jammed the Starlink, they cut off communications and rounded up all the malcontents.
Therefore, Iran is not alone in this. The only reason those protesters were wiped out, was from Russian gear and Chinese tech. Along with the willingness of the Iranian government to finally do something and act decisively.
Apparently the Jewish spy network has been wiped out in Iran, like in the style of how China wiped clean that CIA spy network in the country years ago, arresting then executing all of them, every single one.
So this is getting really interesting. Not sure what the chances are of the United States attack Iran this time. Lose an aircraft carrier, and you lose them all basically.

It is too clear and obvious, that during that few weeks of Liberation Day, once China and America had a total trade embargo on each other, the relationship will continue to sink.
