This is a bit of a surprise, especially considering the weight and influence of Britain's Israel lobby.

I wouldn’t believe it. Most likely a disinformation post by the MI5 in collaboration with the CIA.. Those dummies have been in cahoots with whatever foreign adventures the US does. They are probably trying to find ways to trick Iran into temporarily lowering their guard.

MI5 is Britain's domestic intelligence and security agency, analogous to the FBI. If this story is disinformation, then MI6 was most likely responsible.

A lack of access to British bases will inconvenience the US military in this instance, but won't stop or even meaningfully delay US strikes against Iran.

So from an operational point of view, what would be the value of such disinformation?

Haven't thought much about this, but my instinctive suspicion is that the British are looking for American concessions elsewhere in exchange for access to forward basing for hitting Iran.

Most likely a harder line on Russia.

Well, many has dangarous level of delusions regards of USA power in this case.

I am sure it is quite obvious for the Iranian, Russians and Chinese the nature of problems that an USA controlled IRan means for the Russian backyard, and for the Kayakh/Ayer oil sources for China.

It means that if the USA try an attack on Iran, then the Russian/Chinese subs ,ships and sats will provide the targeting information for Iranian , or Allied sources missiles used by Iran to sink all available USA naval ships in 2000 km range.

And they will makes it sure it will be obvius for anyone BEFORE the first shot of USA.
There is a reason of the Chinese-Russian-Iranian wargames, and I am sure there are many things underneath the water that we can't see.

And I am sure about that China stuffing up with SAMs Iranian cities.

Additionaly, as soon as USA start to push the kurds against Iran thorught Azer and Armenia the Turks and Russians most probably will end the independent existence of those countries. Means it will snowball into a regianal war between USA-Iran -Russia-Azer-Armenia-Türks with the full support of China and NK . As a starter.

And never forget - if the USA and Israel stoped the bombing of Iran after two seeks they did it becuase the Iranian won the war, if the Iranian lost then they still bombing them up to thid date , as they did it with Serbia .

It is hard to destroy the Afghans because they hide in mountains which is the safest. Safer than man made deep bunkers. It is very hard to penetrate mountains. US will go broke by keep launching bunker buster bombs.

While the U.S. and Israel technically should have this in a bag I can’t help but feel that in carrying out a larger operation, especially with the tailwind of optimism from the Venezuela operation, may end up introducing hubris that could cause embarrassment.

It really depends on what their win condition is and what reasonable cost for that win condition is. There’s a very large chance that Israel wins and the US loses.
