Doesn't seem to bode well that the two leading AI CEOs absolute hate each other. Then again, didn't Xiaomi's LLM team block Kimi on Twitter in recent weeks? Bro, the ego on display here..
As for the summit itself, India tried to position it as "the voice of the global south". India has an obsession with being a self-appointed voice of the global south. If you really wanted to promote the global south then why weren't the leading Chinese AI CEO's invited? They do most of the open-source stuff.
Seems like India's real angle here is "we will help smoothen the dependency of the global south onto US AI leadership and we prefer to be the middle-man so we can extract some rents in the process".
