1. They might have depleted significant ammunition but how are you certain that NATO manufacturing can't pull together a last run of ammo to put up a great fight with China? Even if we win, a great fight encompasses many losses that would have been preventable if we waited to attain victory through outclassing the opponent or victory through intimidation.
Europe can't even make 155mm artillery shells at volume without complaining that China is not selling them nitrocellulose. Except this a self-inflicted wound because they are the ones who banned cotton from Xinjiang.
2. Your analysis contradicts itself. You say that the enemy is depleted on conventional weapons, so he would be vulnerable but then said you would go nuclear if you were in DC. I agree that the US would choose to go nuclear before accepting defeat and that can only be rectified by China growing our nuclear arsenal until the US recognizes that MAD is in place.
Do you think the US can send their carrier battle groups into China's A2/AD complex and survive at this moment? If not and you were DC realizing that China just crippled your chances at solving this problem using conventional weapons in the foreseeable future, would you escalate to nuclear threats, knowing you have the advantage in that scenario?
I think China is not engaging in a slow economic sabotage, sort of boil the frog technique since I hear US sources complaining that China has only partially turned back on the rare earths tap and they're unable to buy enough. I fully support it, but the calculation is that a full choke now invites war at a time when the US is still quite capable of fighting it, especially in the nuclear dimension.
I would call the Americans' bluff if they resort to nuclear blackmail. China's the one with NBC rated underground parking garages and will be the one to rebuild faster from the ashes. Russia is also not going to sit idly by as the US threaten first strike.
Ours is as well; our nuclear forces are not on par with America/Russias; we trailed the US entering the 5th gen fighter race but lead them in the 6th which are yet to go into service, many more examples just like this. Difference is that our vulnerability is closing while there is no light at the end of the tunnel yet to be seen for theirs.
Then let's wait until we reach critical mass for maximal advantage, especially because it does not appear that they can close their vulnerability while we are racing towards critical mass.
The odds of armed conflict decreases with each passing day as China grows and the US atrophies. Still doesn't change the fact that the most likely time for a military confrontation is tomorrow though, assuming the Americans are rational and competent.

A war between superpowers would not be limited to Asia. There can be no victory until one side destroys the other's will and capacity to fight. Not happening because China has no way to project force to the CONUS with tactical assets while the inverse is possible.

The opposite actually. What I propose is significantly more proactive and aggressive than current CPC policy. Crippling the American MIC by depriving them of inputs would basically be declaration of an actual economic war.

Yes, that is what the US would do if they were rational and competent. If I were Washington, I would abandon my global interests to singularly pursue the destruction of China and preserve my position even if it comes down to a nuclear exchange. But the material reality is that the US cannot commit to conventional military action while their stockpiles are depleted by their post-2020 misadventures. This is a vulnerability window that China should twist the knife in. American efforts to rearm and replenish must be frustrated and sabotaged by any means.

I'm preempting the US doing a hail Mary strike before they lose their military advantage. Which is why I am advocating for an accelerated buildup and aggression now to secure the future through initiative of action and deterrence. Explain how that comes across as scared? If anything, other people here have told me that I am too bloodthirsty and will cause WW3.

Nah, some crimes are irredeemable. Execution by anti-aircraft guns.
At least make them plant enough salt cedars to offset the carbon footprint first… We practice frugality in Socialism.

Very random question, but how do you get YouTube videos to play just audio? Or are you just running the video in your pocket and only listening to the audio?
I just mount the phone on the handlebars and run the video at 144p with screen brightness turned down so it doesn't chew through too much data or battery, using one earbud only. I believe Youtube Premium allows you to play videos in the background or with screen off, and I think there are unofficial apps and workarounds to get the same functionality without that subscription, but I haven't felt the need to go down either path.
Here's a simple one: open YouTube in your phone's browser and switch the browser to desktop mode. Hope that works.
Not any browser though. If you use safari it doesn’t work.

"Not any browser though. If you use safari it doesn’t work."

On the contrary, through trial-and-error/messing-around, I figured out a long time ago how to play YouTube videos in audio-only mode in Safari on an iPhone. Here's how I do it on my current iPhone (iPhone 13):

Step 1: Start YouTube video in Safari (and get past ads, if any)

Step 2: Tap within video, then tap on double-arrow icon that appears in lower right.

Result A: Video now appears in letterbox mode, i.e., against black background entirely by itself with no title shown, no comments, no recommended/suggested videos, no advertisements, etc.

Step 3: **While letterbox-mode video is playing** (this procedure doesn't work if video is paused), press side button on right edge to switch off display

Result B: Display goes dark

Step 4: Press right-side edge button again to switch on display

Result C: The lock screen appears with an audio control bar toward the bottom (with play/pause, fast-forward, and rewind buttons, and showing time remaining and time elapsed)

Success! I now tap the play button, and I'm off to the races. I can switch the display off and on with the right-side edge button without interrupting the audio, and the audio control bar is always there on the lock screen when I switch the display back on. To listen to a different YouTube video, go back to Step 1.

The above sequence might seem rather involved, but after familiarization, one can blaze through it.

Glitch: Sometimes, Step 4 (press right-side edge button) fails to produce Result C (audio control bar appears on lock screen); or Result C is produced, but tapping the play button on the control bar results in a "Not Playing" error message. In that case, I tap/swipe "home" (and enter the passcode), which brings back Result A (letterbox mode); play the video a few seconds longer; and then repeat Steps 3-4. If that doesn't work, I do it again. And if that doesn't work, I tap/swipe "home" to bring back Result A (letterbox mode), tap on the screen, and tap on the X that appears at the top, which puts the video back into regular viewing mode (Step 1). I then play the video a few seconds longer and just go through the rest of the whole sequence again, i.e., Steps 2-4. Sometimes, in trying to clear the glitch, tapping/swiping "home" skips Result A (letterbox mode) and puts me all the way back to Step 1, in which case I just shrug and go through Steps 2-4 again. To reiterate, these steps can be performed a lot faster than one might think.

The above methods have never let me down so far, but depending on your iPhone model, iOS version, etc., your mileage/kilometerage/kilometreage may vary.

After the Oracle takeover I noticed that there has been no real impact to Wumao content. Those are in fact as rampant, if not more so, than before, and I’ve even had Japanese language Maoist content shoved on my list on multiple occasions (so I guess the algorithm sucks now???). What is noticeable is that there is zero Palestine related content suggested to me. Make of that what you will.

That lasted all of three days. After Epstein thing it has gone full on anti-Semitic again. Maybe they should’ve hired the SeeSeePee censor as consultant.

"Yes I know we did really bad with Epstein, but the Chicoms must've done much worse!"

Epstein couldn't even get someone into a master program at Peking University. The Epstein files are a unequivocal indictment of the bankruptcy of the so called "Judeo-Christian morality", or, if you want to include the Arabs, the ruin of the "Abrahamic morality". It's futile to drag China into this.

I don't know if this has been posted earlier, Brazil and Chile seems to have found lot of HREE. The US seems to have invested a lot in that, and planning to refine them in US.

It all boils down who will get there first: China makes a functional EUV lithography machine or the US establishes a heavy rare earth supply chain. I think China will win.

So says the one who is actively supporting Israel's Gaza genocide.

Well this is the west that protects and nurtures the abusers/tortures by withholding the information about them, while the victim's details are revealed for the whole world.

Welcome to depravity of western notion of human rights.
I’m more appalled at the lack of revolutionary spirit amongst the western laity, they literally have cannibal child rapists as their rulers and I’m not seeing Bastille day equivalents of storming government buildings and taking of armories like fort Sumter. Not even a mass general strike.
And what do these cannibal child rapists think of China? Answer below

Narrator’s voice: they did not in fact, break China. Epstein would later be imprisoned and Bannon would be sanctioned to oblivion by China.
