especially the part with AEW-assets and most of all a gun-ship version sounds much too much like a fan-boys Wet-dream.
Chinese aew&c/fighter jets vie with embraer saab erieye/western fighter jets.

Gunship for special ops aviation against some uncontrolled groups in Afghanistan territory. After clash incidents Tajik-Afghani border efforts their sof patrolling capabilities.

Male uav: anka-s or wingloong

But how could they get a gunship-Y-9-variant, when there is no such type today? How likely is such a development for a foreign customer?

By the way, any news regarding the robots with J-10CE & Uzbekistan?

Remember that the US gave the UAE an ultimatum.

Choose the F-35 or Huawei.

And the UAE chose Huawei.
And UAE also kicked out all Chinese links to G42 just so they can prevent US export control. UAE is heavily dependent on US not just for security, military hardware, training, linkage. UAE elites also have lots of investments and life in US and the west. UAE economy depends on western expats living and travelling there. They are heavily compromised.

With Trump being so aggressive, I find it hard to believe that UAE would buy Chinese stealth fighter and US would allow it without going crazy and literally sanctioning UAE.

I don't see any of the gulf Arabs buying Chinese stealth fighters in the current geopolitical landscape. It will literally mean that country leaving the western camp and joining the China camp and literally willing to become a pariah in the eye of the west.

I don't know I heard that they want gunship and one of the variant is modification y-8f-200w or new built y-9. Second variant is the ac-295 based on c295m aircraft offer from Jordan/Turkish collaboration. But there is no large gun like 2a70 100mm with cheap laser guided ammo gp100.

Uzbekistan prioritized relationships with US and delaying process. there is some geopolitical details like US wants cut Chinese dominance in region and this in Russian interest because they are think its their spheres of influence(backyard) etc

Back to the recently seen J-10CE I had a discussion at another forum and summarised this, maybe someone could correct or complement it in case I missed something !

J-10CE allegedly 207 or 208 - 20260112 - 2.jpgJ-10CE allegedly 207 or 208 - 20260112 - 1.jpg

But per my understanding we have no hard facts available on any confirmed customer and nowadays the media is more out for clicks & attention and reports without checking the facts, which again is spread even further by the social media. So in essence we have the following more or less credible claims:

  • Sudan ... was once reported I think two years ago, since then NOTHING!
  • Egypt ... was hyped as a given fact by local media and several fan-boys as if even local production would be granted, since then NOTHING! (but allegedly F-15 preferred now)
  • Indonesia ... officially admitted but later again recalled! Seems IMO one of the most likely deals, but unsure if refurbished old J-10A or factory-fresh J-10CE
  • Uzbekistan ... often rumoured as the likely true first customer after Pakistan
  • Tanzania ... something of a wild-card, but indeed not impossible according to my information.
All other reports like North Korea, Algeria and whatever are IMO not credible or possible.

Egypt doesn't prefer F-15s, Egypt was scammed by a promise to give f-15s if they signed CISMOA agreement and that was in 2018, before that and after Egypt bought Mig-29m & Rafales and no F-15s.
Egypt problem with long range weapon especially A2A will stay as fucked it's with F-15s.

Egypt want to solve their weapns problems & they want a superiority fighter and especially stealth fighters. So if they didn't go for J-10C & J-35A because they can't withstand US pressure and doesn't have the economic power to hold the fort, they will go with rafales as they invested a lot in their relation with France. And maybe they can try to get JF-17s as it will lessen the pressure on them and open the way in the future to get J-35A.

Nevertheless as it seems in open-source information, Egypt will not be able to have first deliveries as they're slower than others, so it'll be tiresome for observers and it'll push them to not believing that Egypt will get it until they actually get it.

But concerning Egypt's alleged purchase of J-10CE my post above is correct?

Could be Pakistani, because there is interest in bringing up the number of J10CE in the PAF to the 70 to 100 range.

The point is only ... is this interest claimed by the public, the interested crowd or indeed officially requested by the PAF?
So far all I hear from credible sources these are not for Pakistan, but for whom is the mystery.
