In the realm of politics, self reflection and humility is India weakest point. That is seemingly why they fail time and again and also their tendency to paper over these failures only reinforces that next time they will fail even greater. I have every confidence they they are headed to failure every time they try to measure up to China. This simply isn’t going to change no matter what they do. To be frank, in an actual world war, India will most likely do more damage to the side their join through their customary incompetence and arrogance. They can be passable cannon fodder when commanded by foreign officers, as the British Empire used them, but if left to command themselves, they will just get annihilated and leave friendly allied forces in the shit.

Nevertheless, it would be stupid for China to proactively push India into America’s camp. So all China is doing is the bare minimum to not force India to choose sides.

Extending India the bare minimum of goodwill gestures costs China nothing, but singling India out for exclusion when China is doing general world wide outreach needlessly antagonises them for no reason or benefit to China.

055 can't even beat Ticonderoga in VLS count. It also can't carry ultra large Hypersonic missiles that PLARF has. So, Type 055 is not a "Battleship" for the modern era.

A true modern battleship should have displacement atleast double that of 055. So, around 25-30K displacement. It should have 100+ VLS Air defense plus 30-50 larger VLS for Hypersonic anti-ship/ground attack missiles that are similar in size to DF-26/27.

A modern day kirov class type ship with modern radars and sensors and also hypersonic weapons will be what I would call a modern day battleship.

I tend to agree with Balaji's statement about "Indians" but not necessarily India (as a nation). The sheer breadth and scale of their diaspora community makes them a very influential component in the coming years. Maybe not the first generation of immigrants, but their 2nd generation of Indians often comparable of any of their local peers in the West. India is like Israel where it is society led, instead of government where their community is close knit, with strong networking skills that provides them a lot of internal depth and reach which allows them succeed in many different countries around the world. After all, Darwin said, "its not necessarily the strongest or smartest that wins but the "fittest." So they may seem like pests to us today, but like cockroaches they may survive us all should we have nuclear war or some sort of cataclysmic event like what's happening to the West right now. Rome, UK and US succeeded not necessarily because they were qualitatively better than Carathage, Netherlands or Nazi Germany but because they had the ability to make sacrifices and suffer great losses and keep going to adapt the changing world and that's what the demographic dividend will allow India to do. I don't think they will reach the same heights as China on a national level but they will nonetheless be much more influential in the years to come especially as the West implodes on itself.

No bigger disaster for any country than letting in millions of nepotistic Indians. They are only loyal to their own race and India. Every company that gets an Indian manager will only hire other Indians. Ask anyone. Even those not born in India cannot be trusted. They are extremely racist towards Chinese and other Asians. They know how to sweet talk their way to positions of power in corporations and government and once in power they bully everyone below them. It’s part of their caste-based culture. Worship the strong and bully the weak.

They have the same imperialist mentality like Anglos and Israel. Until now they didn’t have the power, yet even at this level of power look how they launch wars against China and Pakistan. Plus carry out assassinations of their enemies in the West. The stronger they get, the more belligerent they will become. They are just a far bigger Israel. Indian lobby groups are all over the world just like the Israeli lobby groups.

I hope China has an ‘India strategy’. Ban all investment of any industrial nature to India. China should not build up a competitor. China’s national security experts should screen all Chinese investment into India so that Chinese companies are not selling their technology and know-how for short-term profits. Don’t be naive about India and their intentions. China vs India will be a primary global issue in the 21st century.

Yes. India is not China but I do think their contribution/threat will not be material but rather spiritual. East Asian culture, especially China often pulls to one extreme while the Middle East and India pulls towards another. Chinese tend to prioritize the physical and material things, practical often to a fault which works until it doesn't. There is a tendency for bureaucratic rule to calcify and become stagnant and unwieldy that it because a dead weight to the country as a while. Often this takes several generations but when it does, it is often a spiritual revolution takes root and spreads like fire like or even Yellow Turbans/Red Turbans/Taiping Kingdom/even Communism (could be classified as a quasi-religion) which plunges the nation into chaos and/or new government.

I think with India they will come up with a new religious movement that will transform the world. Something about brown people gives them greater spiritual powers like along the "holy belt" region i.e. where Judaism/Christianity/Islam/Hinduism/Buddhism/Zoroastrian/Jainism all exist in a one stretch. That will probably be the transition formed from them. Not a state or industry but a religious explosion. Of course this is purely speculation on my part.

Why do u have to complain about everything? China is literally the only country that has multiple types of hypersonic missiles that fit in VLS cells and u still complain because the missiles are big enough.
