Yankee and Shilao say this thing is actually unmanned. It's an unmanned testing platform.

With such developments in mind - Here's hopeful that a 3000-4000-ton platform (at full-load) that is minimally/optionally-manned or unmanned and powered by CODAD/CODOG/CODAG would be developed and inducted into service with the PLAN in the coming years.

Such platforms could be configured for any of the following roles:
1. SAM carriers (with 32-48x UVLS cells); or
2. Anti-air/anti-surface pickets (with radar and sensor arrays); or
3. Anti-submarine pickets (with sonar arrays)
- All of which would be based on the same hull.

The key here should be affordability and scalability for fleetwide induction as "wingman-type" warships for the proper surface combatants.

All these smaller vessels need to be using IEPS & modern propeller from now on for better range, ease of maintenance and such. There should be no more old propulsion on new vessels.

Hi gents, I'm working on a wargame and I was wondering if anyone knew the model or the technical specifications of the hull sonar on the Type 056 and the Type 056A, the towed array on the Type 056A, and the ELINT/ESM/ECM system on both. Thanks!
