In short:

The US government is stripping thousands of Myanmar nationals of their temporary immigration status citing planned elections in the civil war-torn country as evidence of an improving situation.
Analysts say there is no evidence that the situation has improved to make it safer and the elections are likely to ratchet up the violence.

What's next?

The military junta is due to hold the elections at the end of the year, despite being widely condemned as a "sham".

I mean it's envitable for the birth rate the fall when a country becomes developed so there is not solution other than accepting that the population will go down. Europe and especially the US aren't any better, if anything their worse because they have a smaller population. Trying to increase the birthrate wouldn't change anything significant so the CCP best course of action is to just adapt.
China is not even a high income country yet. There must be something wrong when your tfr is on par with Japan despite having 1/3 of gdp per capita. Chinese government is trying but look like they cannot reverse it. They are simply too late.

Thankfully this is pretty much universal. COVID really did a number on people's willingness to have children.

Amongst the Five Eye countries:

US - 1.6

UK - 1.41

Aus - 1.48

NZ - 1.56

CAN - 1.25

As they say, when we go we shall all go together. Even India's fertility rate has dropped to 1.9.

Mao Ning said that since President Trump’s second term, the heads of state of China and the United States have maintained regular exchanges. "As far as I know, this call was initiated by the United States. The atmosphere of the call was positive, friendly, and constructive. The communication between the two heads of state on issues of common concern is very important for the stable development of China-US relations."

Diplomatic gesture means nothing when Japan do not respect China at a slightest. China has complained about the shrine for years. The only way to make Japan behave is by force.
Pretty much. The fact a lot of japanese support her means it's not just a government problem but a people problem. Therefore China should have no issues taking measures that hurt Japanese citizens since they enable such stuff to happen.

As a democracy (even though it's just a one party one), people are held fully accountable for all it's government actions.
