They mentioned target drones. Those are definitely designed to be recovered if the missile misses.
right, so maybe not single use. But I wonder if they might also be designed with lower service life. probably so

Asking for long service life with this kind of scrape the bottom of the barrel prices is too greedy I think.
well, we don't know what the price is. So the question is whether you can produce higher end mostly 3D printed engine if you were using better material & such. Or with current tech, you can only produce lower end engine.

很多人以为“突然爆发”,其实背后是一场持续十三年的“暗战”。2009年国家启动“两机专项”,把航空发动机与燃气轮机并列写进《中国制造2025》,一句“砸锅卖铁也要搞”不是口号,是预算:300多家企业、上万名工程师、累计投入超过800亿元。最难啃的是材料——透平叶片要长期承受1500℃高温,以前全靠进口,价格按克算,比黄金还贵。科研团队把实验室搬进工厂,用“土办法”配合高阶仿真:金属粉末里掺稀土,3D打印一层层试,失败就回炉,再失败再回炉,光一种单晶叶片就报废了12吨原料,最终把寿命从400小时提到2000小时,终于达标。2022年国产F级300MW样机在上海总装下线,标志着中国成为全球第五个掌握重型燃机整机设计、制造、试验全流程的国家。俄罗斯订单里那20台GT-25000,核心零件国产化率已拉到98%,叶片、涂层、控制系统全部自己说了算,外方再想“卡脖子”只能扑空。

so they got the gas turbine tested in -55C condition. Looks like here 300+ companies, 10k+ engineers & 80B RMB investment. the blade needs to withstand 1500C high temperature. They used 3D printing layer after layer and metals powder dope with Rare Earth. Keep trying this out and wasted 12t of material just to develop one type of single crystal blade. This allowed them to raise service life from 400 hours to 2000 hours. 98% of gas turbine's core components are domestic, including blade, coating and control system.
