I did some speculative calculations so bear with me here, Accounting for the perspective difference as well, I used a 1:1 Type 055 model for comparison. I measured the blurry image in my CAD tool to unspecified units of 259.30 and array size of 41.50. Dividing these gives a relative Array size to perspective superstructure beam of 6.248 for the mystery structure. Using my own Type 055 model, I measured the perspective beam as 23.7805m when the array size is 5.9-6.0m, basically size of type 346B radar. The actual beam of the Type 055 is 20m so the perspective scaling at this angle is roughly 1.189x the actual.

Using these assumptions I calculated a few scenarios below, If the radars are sized similar to the Type-346B radars on the 055, the superstructure real width should be around 30m. If the array sizes are not representative of the 346B, and instead the superstructure is equal to that of 055 in size, the array must be around 3.8m in size. Lastly if the superstructure is meant to be frigate sized, I used the beam of the 054A at 16m to calculate the array size of 3.04m.

Be aware that due to the makeshift nature of this "Math" The error could be quite large.

The only conclusions that should be taken here is either damn that is a large superstructure, or damn those are some tiny arrays.
I don't want to be the source of fuel to the China is building a super cruiser folk.

259.30 / 41.50 = **6.248**
23.7805 / 5.94 = 4.003
Real Beam = 20m
**Perspective 1.189x Size**

Mystery Structure if Array = 346B
IF Mystery Array = 346B = ~6m
Perspective Beam = 6 x 6.248 = 37.488m
Real Beam = 31.5m

Mystery Structure = 055 Size Ship
IF Real beam = 20m, ie 055.
Perspective beam = 23.7805m
Array Size = 3.80m

Mystery Structure = 054 Size Ship
IF Real beam = 16m , ie 054
Perspective beam = 19.024m
Array Size = 3.04m

According to the photographer, this mockup existed for several years. It is the original bridge design of 055, but the actual 055 bridge is smaller. It is not the design of the 055A or the next generation DDG.

New ship construction next to the 076, possibly the new frigate? It's seems too wide for 054 series.

Measuring on Copernicus yields a beam of roughly about 20 meters. If this is indeed a warship, then it's certainly way wider than any FFGs that China has ever built. In fact, it's wider than even the 052D DDGs.

On the other hand, it's way narrower than both the 071 LPD and the 075 LHD.

I would be very reluctant to call this a DDG-probable for the time being, especially considering that the last DDGs that Hudong-Zhonghua had ever built were of the 051-family (which are actually smaller than even the 054-family of FFGs), where the last unit built by the shipyard was launched back in 1983.

In the meantime, we do know that the FREMM, Constellation and Type 26-classes of FFGs have beams of nearing or around 20 meters.

I guess that means yet another new "wait and see" unit...

SOYO did mention we'll possibly see the new frigate sometime next year in like April (Which I have posted in this thread a few months back) and mentioned the yard responsible was a main producer of Frigates hence it was not likely to be the new DDG. This seems to line up perfectly with his claim.
