Because the modern Singapore identity was formed in the early LKY years, when they got their footing and began a steady path of improvement. That was the period of peak hope and optimism. That has sadly been lost with corporate colonisation and progressively weaker leadership, especially under LHL.
What used to be a Chinese island surrounded by hostile Malays has turned into a cucked island where any outsider has equal claim to the society built by overseas Chinese. The sense of solidarity is now gone; the only time I feel it is when talking to older singaporeans in their 50's - 60's.

Singapore has gone the same way as HK by drinking the western Kool Aid wholesale and made racist self-hating and white worship their core identity. Only they are much further along on that path and doesn’t have the safety net of the mainland to pull them back when they fall off the deep end.
That actually simplifies things for China. Before Singapore got far too many passes for being essentially a Chinese city state outside of China. If they want to reject their Chinese heritage and throw their lot in with the Anglos, then they should get treated the same. Chinese diplomatic and military options actually gets significantly easier if they just give zero fucks about Singapore.
To be fair, those are low class mentality girls essentially prostituting themselves out purely for perceived face instead of money. You can find White versions of this in the West too. Poor white girls dressing like skanks in the hopes of getting picked up by men who are much better off. Not for any upfront financial benefits but for the hope of a better life and a way to show she's finally better than the other poor skanks from her neighborhood. The only difference is the price of sex for unattractive men is much cheaper in Asia than in the West. There is an arbitrage of sorts in that sense. Meanwhile, attractive men anywhere around the world can get it essentially for free if they really want it.

LOL! No offence to any Singaporeans here, but Singlish is one of the most annoying sounding English accents in the world. If not the most. This example in the video is actually softer sounding and more pleasant than what you would normally encounter there.
