India has been pretty successful in developing the Akhand Bharat narrative and ingraining it into Indian minds. At this point, it is irrelevant how silly their media looks to the external audience because the domestic population is naive enough to believe it. Their population has gone beyond the point of where cognitive dissonance would force a reevaluation of beliefs (or perceived reality).Al-Jazeera, one of my most despised news outlets does occasionally produce some gems. I find this one quite entertaining.
Its a documentary about how crap the India media is, and why it is so despised by India's neighbours.
Still, according to the Reporters Without Borders (RSF) Press Freedom Index, India is ranked at 151, much higher than Vietnam, Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea. China is near the bottom of the list, at the 3rd last place. Journalistic integrity is not counted in the RSF score, only "freedom". So India beats China in press freedom. Jai Hind!
Like one of the guests said, this nonsense propaganda hinders India's foreign interests. But it does not hinder, rather it reinforces, domestic Indian beliefs. Indian narrative is of India a superman and everybody else a boogeyman.
