I watched this movie after Ayi commented on It. The end is USA launching total nuclear annihilation towards China and Russia, because of that one nuclear missile coming from presumably DPRK.
The main characters in It are "mature statesman" with "resolve". By the undertone of the movie, I would assume It's written by American liberals. If this is the average democrats world view and ideal, They are much more insane and dangerous to the whole world than DJT. Holy fxxk, the most fxxked up part is the writers are trying to portray this image of sad but dignified position of human extinction. They are insane!

Lol, what do you expect from Hollyweed! At least the script doesn't include something like the Chinese or Russian army trying to shoot down the rogue missile because they suddenly have sympathy for American or some underlying hatred for their own country. So, it's a 6/10 in my view.

Please study probability theory before making a definitive statement like this. If a GBI interceptor has 80% probability of success, and you shoot 5 of them, all of them could still fail. Just cause you shot more doesnt mean its a guaranteed success.

Moreover, GBI doesnt have high accuracy either. No country has shown ability to intercept icbms consistently.
I studied liberal arts. Please don‘t talk to me about probability theory.

The missile was a false flag launched by US itself... to sacrifice one city for pretext to genocide entire world

This movie was a disappointment. The ciriticism has it right that there‘s no way a country is unable to intercept a single stray missile. They should have made it more realistic by making it a missile swarm so that one could slip through the cracks.
Lol sweet summer child if you think the real intercept rate is high. Israel's real intercept rate with the best the West could provide was mediocre and it wasn't trying to shoot down ICBMs with terminal velocity of mach ~20. Yes, TWENTY times the speed of sound.

I studied liberal arts. Please don‘t talk to me about probability theory.
That explains a helluva lot.

There was a very good movie by HBO called By Dawn’s Early Light back in the 80s I think. This movie was closer to that one. I haven’t seen it in a while so I hope I remember the plot points correctly. It starts off someone fires a nuke onto Turkey. The US and the Soviet Union are on the verge of nuclear war so the whole movie is about the Soviets saying it was a rogue element that did it and the Soviets say they will allow the US to strike one target and then there’s a truce. Of course there’s dispute on both sides within their own ranks on whether to trust the other side. This movie is a little more Hollywood because if I remember correctly on the US side there’s confusion if the President was still alive so someone else in a non-prestigious office down in the line of succession was in charge and more hawkish had the ability to start a full scale nuke war. The climax was full scale nuclear war was imminent with this guy in control of the nukes so the people who didn’t want war were in the Strategic Air Force airborne command plane chasing Air Force One in the sky hoping to collide and stop WW3 that way. Time was running out and looked like there was no hope but the pilot on Air Force One slowly but unnoticeably started turning the plane so SAC command could catchup and collide.

A House Full of Dynamite was probably more realistic but you don’t see how it ended.
