to go with the bland "Atto 1" name in Australia rather than more inspiring "Seagull" or even "Dolphin Surf" names used in other markets. If I were in the market for one I'd be tempted to source alternative badging and re-badge it myself...

In the photo you posted, the BYD vehicle seems a bit "squashed" front to back. I think the photo below (from the same article, btw) shows the proportions more accurately.

In fairness to BYD's competitors in the segment ("tall wagon" kei cars), they *all* look cute. For example, here's the Honda N-Box.
