Are the Japanese trying to colonize China again?

Japanese are actively trying to undermine China's sovereignty by meddling with Taiwan. Japan has been funding and supporting the DPP, Japan's foreign office has funded numerous groups and NGOs to manipulate Taiwan's media and public opinions to vilify China.

Japan is also stating that they will militarily intervene with Taiwan's unification.

Japan is not trying to colonize China but their action is close enough to it.

Edit: btw, have you heard of Nanjing massacre and Unit 731? If not then maybe you should seek a little education. Japan till this day denies those events and try to paint themselves as victim of ww2, their history books has little to no account of Japan's atrocities but focus on their own loss.

The mainstream narrative in Japan about ww2 was not that they're sorry for starting the war but that they're sorry for losing it.

Ultimately libs who claim to support China don't really believe in it when things are tough. They don't believe it can truly win.

They still end up subscribing to that winology crap that China is acting out of place for being assertive. Coz China has only recently become strong so it doesn't register in their heads yet. A long established power has historical legitimacy, institutional backing, and narrative control to say its simply being assertive over bullying after all. In fact I would say the reason the west is losing legitimacy and getting called out more is more to do with the loss of power instead.

I was revisiting that mess between Lithuania and China on that Taiwan office that lead to China sanctions. Back then Covid was in full spring and the spotlight was on China. China was called a karen for trying to say what Lithuania does. What they are doing is bullying, throwing away their goodwill and acting like some imperialist etc.

Fast forward to today. People don't really say that anymore. Ask Lithuanian people themselves who voted out Gabrielius Landsbergis (the most vocal advocate of it) as well a lot of the incumbent party at that time. Per polls, they didn't agree with how the government handled China and Taiwan relations at the time stating that this values based policy brought unnecessary pain. Gitanas Nausėda said it was a mistake although this is just damage control.

Lithuania is still causing trouble although more quiet. But China acted assertive and didn't lose its goodwill. Rather it shows that it should be taken seriously and that it deserves respect. Even now I would say its still not really given the respect it actually deserves. People are just begrudgingly giving it coz they don't really have a choice.

Those libs who pretend to support China ultimately want China to follow their script. They keep forgetting that China is a sovereign nation and not their social experiment.

So the moment they see China going against their script, such as standing firm on the issue of Taiwan, they go nuts. To them, China was supposed to become another Taiwan, meek and obedient. China was not supposed to speak out against a white European nation. So when China is not obeying to their script, they throw all kinds of labels at it, calling it fascist, imperial, authoritarian, etc.

The liberals and conservatives are two sides of the same imperial coin. Both have the same goal of undermining your sovereignty. Imagine them as robbers. The conservatives would try to barge through your front door. But the liberals would try to influence your household to open the door. The end goal is the same.

Lets face it. We still live in a western dominated world where the west set the rules, what is considered proper, how you should view certain people or countries. Basically a caste system. And Chinese are supposed to be at the bottom per germanic winnology. Thats why you can get some impoverished Syrian mocking Chinese when you have to ask on what basis can he look down? Why did China not really get hit that much by the trade war? Why wasn't China semiconductor industry executed by Biden? Why is China acting mad when we are putting a warship next to it?

China being able to act assertive and issue sanctions effectively is a recent thing. People are still not used to it. And most of them don't really have confidence that China can win if they were to bet the house on it (hell a lot of Chinese don't)

Correction. Japan is trying to colonize China. Taiwan is a part of China.

Imagine Belgium today, meddling in the internal politics within a region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. That's what Japan is essentially doing.

the irony is not lost upon me that all these other global south comments saying like "im so glad chinas going to take the lead, they'll never bully us like the united states" have simply never heard the chinese talking candidly amongst themselves.

Reading some of these comments has been an eye opener. Whenever I hear people from other Asian countries complain about China I never understood it, I honestly just thought they were jealous or mental because I never had issues with Chinese in real life. These jingoists among them are unbearable though and for China's sake they shouldn't ascend to leadership positions, if they think they can just do anything they want to they're in for a very rude awakening. The world isn't going to swap one bully for another.

Funny because I just saw a clip from Jane Goodall's last interview that's on or going to be on Netflix and she says she wants to send Elon Musk on one his rockets to another planet to rule along with Trump, Putin, and Xi. This is where the Western left likes to separate themselves from the actions of their own. Europe could've stopped Trump but they didn't so they're all responsible helping Trump do what he does to the world. So shouldn't Jane Goodall expect the West to be ejected into space.

If she takes issue to being part of today's vibrant, multipolar world, she could perhaps get her dream of joining a simpler, more peaceful one by haveing her ashes blasted into another planet.
