It‘s no secret that the regime in insanely unpopular within Iran. It‘s just that Shah wasn‘t as murderous as the Mullah and didn‘t go as far to stop the rebellion but there‘s no limit that Mullahs won‘t cross to crush rebellions which happened multiple times with the latest happening in 2022. I think the only way the Mullah regime would fall is if the military rebels from inside or thanks to American bombs which won‘t be good for general population.
Agree. I watched quite a few documentaries about the fall of the shah. It seems he was a rather tame dictator compared to his more ruthless peers in the Middle East and even compared to his successors now in Tehran. He didn’t really fight as one would have expected for a dictator to crush his opponents or critics of his regime when the protests erupted. Had he been like the mullahs or even Assad in Syria they would have rather destroyed the whole country than leave/lost power just like that. On that aspect I have to give him my respect.
Anyway, the mullah actually learned a lot from his fall, reason they formed the IRGC and basing militias who are loyal to the regime and beholden to the Ayatollahs only. They don’t trust the regular army or police . So I understand any sort of uprising will keep getting crushed by these elements like the recent past ones . So yeah an uprising like the one that toppled the shah can keep happening in Iran but I don’t think it will be successful , the regime is more determined to hang into to power than the shah.

Iran also didn‘t present itself as a reliable ally that China would risk anything to protect them. Their incompetence led to Meng Wanzhou getting arrested. Otherwise they had some cards that they could have played like oil and a possible future naval base in Persian Gulf. In the end of the day, it‘s a dilusional incompetent country and the only surprise is that they survived this only which I think is owed to America‘s blunder in Iraq that led to Americans being wary of new wars. Otherwise Iran would have been turned into another MENA parking lot a long time ago.

Meng Wanzhou wasn't Iran's fault.

It was HSBC voluntarily giving the US authorities the information, in an attempt to mitigate or avoid billion dollar fines.

Where are you getting your information from??

I could be wrong about Meng Wanzhou but there were Iranians leaking information that put China in trouble.

Why are you leaving the elephant in the room undisturbed? Canadian Authorities handed Meng Wanzhou and held as hostage by US. Why this elephant have this jurisdiction about telecom deals from two foreign countries is the right question to ask

Also, i see that you are a careful wordplayer, unleash yourself babe

I find it surprising that Iran hasn‘t modernized their air force/defence with the time they had and reorganized their alliances. Getting close to China like Pakistan did would have been their best bet but they are too arrogant for that.
I am quite sure that US is preparing for another attack. They removed sanction waivers for Chahbahar as well.
You and people like you will keep repeating your hate, but you still can't imagine that maybe China and Russia just don't want to sell? Iran has clearly shown interest in the J10, eg here

But for China it has always made more sense to get a concession from the Americans in the trade war and in exchange don't sell to Iran. Same for Russia. Iran has been complaining about Russia not delivering planes it bought for decades. Just look at the reaction on forums like this when the idea of selling advanced weapons to Iran comes up. Lots of people are against it. What exactly is Iran supposed to do? They're in a bad situation with no good allies and are trying to make the best of it. The only solution would be to recognise Israel and forget about Palestinians, but that might lead to protests at home
