Aren't they depicting a PLAAF J-35A rather than a PLAN J-35?

If anything it seems like they are specifically talking about J-35A and not J-35.

just watching this video, I think this was presenting info on naval aviation. It's unclear to me why they are displaying a J-35A in that J-35 segment. You can see they jumped to KJ-600 after that.

Not as good as J-20 but great for its size and role.
Certainly, but I'm wondering if we have any idea whatsoever about how it compares to western systems. No shade to anyone here but people of a particular nation are absolutely convinced that the Rafale has a far superior radar and EW suite to the J-35, that's why I asked.

What a bizarre video production choice.

The specificity of the numbers seem a bit less relevant in that context

There is nothing you can say that will convince them, and nothing of value to be gained from convincing them.

Multiple Rafale jets have been shot down by J-10Cs. How do they have the nerve to compare Rafale to the more advanced J-35/A?You can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep.

There is just no comparison between the J-35 and fourth generation aircraft.

In particular the Rafale has almost half the internal fuel than the J-35, which means it will usually operate with external tanks, you seldom see a Rafale without them. That means you lose two hardpoints, get a worse radar signature, and worse aerodynamics. It also has worse engines with lower power. Less payload. And much worse avionics and radar.

CCTV reports: "Completely independent research and developed medium-thrust engine, MTOW close to 30 tons." "RCS is smaller than the palm of your hand"

It has not yet been officially confirmed whether it is the WS-19 or WS-21. Maybe it's both for now, after all, we all know that WS-19 is the target engine

30 tons is 147kN for each engine, which is WS-10 level of trust, could it be a WS-10? J-35 would basically have the same trust as older J-20s despite only being a medium sized fighter.

Near 30 tons is the number they state for the maximum takeoff weight of the aircraft, not the thrust of the engines.

Nope,At present, the J-35/A uses WS-21 (which can be understood as an improved version of RD-33/93), and its thrust is obviously still far from EJ-200. At present, the ideal goal of AVIC is the complete version of WS-19, including the maximum afterburning thrust of 12 tons, which is enough to make the J-35 with two engines have more than the complete version of F-135,which F-35 using.
