Yankee: 我们先不说15,35,它的发动机,必然不会停留在21。本次93阅兵,我们展示的空军型J-35A,我们讲J-35A这个低配那个低配,但是发动机是WS-19

Yankee: Forget about the 15 for now, the 35, its engine definitely won’t stay at the 21. During this 9/3 parade, the air force variant J-35A we’re showing—people say this or that about the J-35A being “low-end,” but its engine was the WS-19.
DAMN. IT. That's arguably more interesting since we know the 35/A's engines are definitely indigenous and only a matter of time until the WS-19 comes.

Oh well. At least the 19's nozzle does look stunning. I can't wait to see the actual engine... Wonder what the stage configuration is.

To be clear, the 15 here is referring to the J-15, not WS-15

I... Never said that?

The latter part of my last message? Yes.

You wrote "only a matter of time until the WS-19 comes."

I'm asking if you meant to write "WS-15" instead of "WS-19" in your sentence.

Because hasn't WS-19 already "arrived" if it is installed on production J-35As? (I.e.: it isn't only a matter of time until the WS-19 comes, because WS-19 has already arrived, therefore we are not waiting for anything in regards to WS-19 status for J-35A)

Oh, I see where the confusion stemmed from. You wrote "WS-15" here:
Do you mean "only a matter of time until the WS-15 comes"?
And so I was a bit confused.

No?

I should've said "we knew" huh? That might clear it up.

I meant that "we knew, as in we prior to this confirmation, that WS-19 will be installed in J-35/A no matter what anyways. The J-15's engine info would be more interesting since it's less clear."

+ Currently the J-35 does lack WS-19s, so I meant in terms of that too.

Yeah I was re-reading the last few posts just now and I see what you mean now.

When you are talking about J-35/A's engines as "definitely indigenous and only a matter of time until the WS-19 comes" you are saying that "at least we can definitely confirm J-35 and J-35A both use indigenous engines, and only a matter of time until J-35 is also equipped with WS-19s like J-35A is".

I was confused because I thought it was confirmed a long time ago that both J-35 and J-35A utilized indigenous engines, so it threw me for a bit and so I went down the WS-15 route (like if the 15 was being interpreted as WS-15 or something, and WS-19 being a generational peer to WS-15, that "WS-15" would thus be the only thing to wait for given WS-19 has reached a production milestone)

Great. Glad we're on the same page now lol

Yeah, a lotta analysts on Weibo are not convinced. Personally, unless they're more credible and has a better source than what of Yankee and co., I'm sticking with "yes they're WS-19s."
to be honest, no one expected WS-19 to be ready this quick. so its hard to believe for some people.

but Yankee and co., are highly trusted people when to comes to PLA. so this WS-19 News is correct. unless we get direct info from AECC weibo handle.
