I mean we already knew but to have it declared so officially is like that period between the phony war and ww2.

Baltic and slavic countries outside of Russia and Belarus appear committed to staying backwater hellholes producing nothing but beets and alcoholism. Chinas trade link with Europe was polands last and best chance at remaining a viable state into this millennium. And they were doing so well too, avoiding the Lithuania route up to this point.

Best thing for Europeans and any other nations for that matter, is to exclude China and Chinese interest from your stupid little blood feuds.

Some of the fanatics of neoliberalism are such hypocrites - Elon Musk is a prime example.

One of the worst problems such arrangements create is that the oligarchic owners of these social and main stream media will not hesitate to censor what they control in cahoots with evil forces - just observe how they suppress the news and footage of the Gaza genocide.

LMAO tweet of the day:
Carl really has fallen on tough times huh.

He too needs to get a second job and the only place that will employ him is some farm in Xinjiang as a Ughyur slave picking cotton.

Super Typhoon Ragasa has passed China and weakened to tropical storm heading to Vietnam. 9 dead in the Phillipines, 14 dead in ROC, does not appear to be any casualties in Mainland China. Congrats to China's prep team/protocols, condolences to the dead.

Interestingly, Macau was flooded and huge bighead carp were swimming all over the streets turning it into a mass fish netting event...

Seeing a lot posts on Chinese social media that more and more white collar job postings in the US are explicitly stating due to political uncertainty, even if Trump loosened his EO on H1-B they are no longer hiring people who need visa sponsorship.

Essentially as always, whatever pragmatism Trump acquiesces to, by the time he does its always too late. Hard to believe it, during Trump's 1st term, despite the trade war record numbers of Chinese students were still studying in the US. Now though? He's truly killed the notion of the US as a place to study and work.

It's actually fine. A large fraction of white collar jobs will be replaced by AI.

is planning to sharply ramp up its trade defences against China in the coming weeks, as it looks to protect its industries from cut-price competition and industrial spillovers in the world’s second-largest economy, a former top official has said.

Speaking at an event on Thursday, former trade commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said there were “preparations for another 20 anti-dumping investigations in a variety of fields going on”.

“So I think they will be opened consecutively in the coming weeks,” said the former Swedish official, at an event hosted by the Institute for International and Economic Affairs in Dublin
While the European Commission did not confirm the comments, a series of top officials have spoken in recent days about their mounting grievances with Beijing’s trade policies. Brussels is awash with frustration over China’s unwillingness to address EU concerns.

These have been amplified by the perceived threat of trade diversion emanating from Trump’s tariffs, which has led to fears that under-pressure Chinese exporters will reroute their goods to Europe at a discount, thereby endangering local producers.

Officials have complained about China’s industrial overcapacity and “weaponisation” of its global market dominance in rare earth minerals and magnets, through the roll-out of new rules in April requiring licences to export the commodities that has led to dozens of industrial closures in Europe.

“This is a clear example of the … weaponisation of dependencies,” said the EU’s top trade mandarin Sabine Weyand, who said the commission had lodged a complaint last week against China’s provisional tariffs on EU pork imports, which she said showed “significant shortcomings” under global trading rules.
